The March 2026 Newsletter includes a variety of academic and cultural activities, including the celebration of Holi, the conduction of sessional examinations for BBA students, and seminar presentations for MBA students. Lab examinations were also conducted efficiently alongside project evaluations for JISTECH. Students were recognized for their achievements during Women’s Day celebrations as well as through general student recognition initiatives. Additionally, the institution marked a significant academic contribution with the publication of a marketing book. Students also showcased their talents through participation in a flashmob event, and an insightful seminar on “Campus English vs Corporate English” was conducted to enhance their communication skills.

The MedBuzz – Health Quiz was conducted on 1st April 2026 as an integral part of the World Health Day 2026celebrations. The event aimed to enhance awareness and knowledge of health-related topics while fostering analytical thinking and a spirit of academic competition among students.

The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation not only from students of Hospital Management but also from various other disciplines, reflecting a broad interest in health awareness and interdisciplinary learning.

Structure and Conduct of the Quiz
The competition was organized in a systematic three-round format, ensuring fairness and active engagement of all participating teams.

Team Composition and Scoring:
Each team consisted of two members. For every correct answer, 2 points were awarded, and there was no negative marking for incorrect responses. Each question had a time limit of 15 seconds, ensuring quick thinking and prompt responses.

Rounds of the Quiz
Round 1: Preliminary Round

A total of 16 teams participated.
Each team was asked a minimum of two questions, with one opportunity to respond per turn.
Based on cumulative scores, the top 8 teams advanced to the next round.
Round 2: Semi-Final Round

The 8 qualified teams competed in this stage.
Similar to the previous round, each team answered at least two questions.
The top 4 teams were selected for the final round based on their performance.
Final Round (Round 3)

The top 4 teams competed for the final positions.
Each team was again provided with a minimum of two questions.
The winners and runners-up were determined based on the final scores.
Additional Rules
Questions were passed to the next team in case of incorrect or unanswered responses.
All questions were strictly based on health and related topics, aligning with the theme of World Health Day.
In the event of a tie, tie-breaker questions were conducted to determine the qualifiers.
Outcome and Impact
The MedBuzz – Health Quiz successfully created an intellectually stimulating environment, encouraging students to expand their knowledge of healthcare, diseases, preventive measures, and general well-being.

The participation of students from diverse academic backgrounds added depth and competitiveness to the event, promoting interdisciplinary awareness of health issues.

Overall, the event was highly successful in combining learning with engagement, reinforcing the importance of health education while fostering teamwork, quick thinking, and a competitive spirit among students.

The Mindscape Festival was organized on 1st April 2026 as a part of the pre-celebration activities for World Health Day. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, creating a supportive and engaging environment that emphasized the importance of psychological well-being.

Activities Conducted
1. Stepscape
This activity was designed to encourage introspection and self-awareness. Participants were given a set of self-reflection-based commands, based on which they moved either forward or backward along a designated line. The movement symbolized their personal responses and coping abilities in different life situations.
The activity effectively highlighted individual differences in emotional resilience and encouraged students to reflect on their mental state in a non-judgmental setting.

2. Heal and Reveal
In this activity, participants selected chits containing tasks or dares focused on self-expression and personal reflection. They were required to perform these tasks in front of an audience, which fostered openness and confidence.
The activity provided a platform for students to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely, thereby promoting emotional articulation and reducing hesitation in sharing personal perspectives.

Outcome and Impact
The Mindscape Festival successfully created a safe, inclusive, and interactive space for students to explore their mental and emotional well-being. It encouraged self-awareness, built confidence, and emphasized the importance of mental health in everyday life.

Overall, the event was impactful in sensitizing students toward mental wellness while fostering a culture of openness, empathy, and self-expression.

Motion Matrix 2026 – A Celebration of Fitness & Team Spirit! ✨
The Motion Matrix event was successfully conducted on 2nd April 2026 as part of the pre-celebration of World Health Day 🩺💪
With high energy and enthusiasm, students came together to promote physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork through a series of fun-filled and challenging activities! 🔥
From the playful moves of Wild Walk 🐸🐰, the thrilling reflex test in Music Motion Mania 🎶, the teamwork-driven Relay Rush Ring 🔄, to the intense Action Trial Finale 🏁 — every moment reflected passion, creativity, and collaboration!
👏 A big shoutout to all participants for their incredible spirit and active involvement in making this event a grand success!

The Department of Business Administration published December Newsletter named "Minds in Motion". It covers the sessional examination for BBA students which was conducted as per the academic schedule, while one faculty members actively participated in the 24th Brand Conclave organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Teachers and students showcased their innovation through the publication of 17 patents throught out the year with 8 patents in the month of December. Students and Teachers also took part in the Business and Economy Literature Fest, gaining valuable academic and professional exposure. In addition, the department celebrated “Winter Décor: Christmas Galore” with enthusiasm as part of the Christmas festivities. Moreover one student participated in an NCC trekking camp to promote discipline, leadership, and physical fitness.

The Department of Business Administration joyfully celebrated Christmas on 23rd December 2025 in the vibrant event, “Winter Decor, Christmas Galore.”

The celebration included Christmas-themed Card Making and Handicraft Making Competitions, where students from both BBA and MBA showcased their creativity. The active participation of students along with the warm involvement of the faculty members made the event truly a special one.
Adding to the festive cheer, students were delighted with Christmas gifts which spread smiles and the holiday spirit all around.

The celebration indeed was filled with joy, creativity, and togetherness. Both students and the faculties came together and enjoyed the festive moments.

The Department of Business Administration proudly organized and participated in a series of vibrant academic and co-curricular activities, including the conduction of the CA4 Examination, BBA and MBA Freshers Parties, Internship/Project Presentation Sessions for BBA (HM) and BBA (DM) students, and active involvement in the Fit Fiesta Event at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology. Students also showcased their skills in the Corporate Walk Event at Udyamita Utsavah Ek Prerana, JIS University, achieving an impressive Third Position in the Idea-o-Pitching competition. Additionally, faculty excellence was highlighted through a paper presentation at the 2nd International Conference on SSWC 2025 at JIS College of Engineering, complemented by a website article publication and enthusiastic student participation in the Digital Poster Design Event.

The Department of Business Administration also participated in “Udyamita Utsava – Ek Prerna,” an event organized by JIS University. This program aimed to inspire young minds and promote entrepreneurial spirit through a variety of creative and competitive activities. 1 year BBA students, Ms. Ansh*ta Jena, Ms. Swarupa Mukherjee, Mr. Pitam Paul and Mr.Suyash Srivastava represented the department in the Corporate Ramp Walk event. They showcased professionalism, confidence, and creativity through their presentation and attire, reflecting the essence of corporate culture on stage. Their participation not only highlighted their talent but also gave them valuable exposure of presenting themselves in a formal and competitive environment. Overall, the department’s involvement in Udyamita Utsava added to the vibrancy of the event and provided students with an excellent platform to learn, interact, and grow in the field of entrepreneurship.

The Department of Business Administration also proudly participated in “Udyamita Utsava – Ek Prerna”. Students from both the BBA and MBA programs Mr. Anubrata Majumder, Ms. Tiasha Sarkar, Ms. Pragya Saha and Ms. Aaradhya Kashyap represented the department in the Ideo Pitching competition, where participants presented innovative business ideas and solutions. The students demonstrated strong analytical thinking, creativity and presentation skills while pitching their concepts to the judges. Their well prepared proposal and confident delivery earned them 3rd position in the competition that brought recognition to the department and also showcased their entrepreneurial potential. This achievement not only highlights the student’s talent but also reflects the department’s commitment to nurturing innovation, critical thinking and real-world application of management knowledge. The event provided valuable experience and inspiration for students to aspire and grow in the field of entrepreneurship.
