*From Noble to Ignoble - Bitter Truth*

Today, a silent yet deeply unsettling revolution is taking place in the schools and colleges of our country โ€” a revolution born out of exhaustion, helplessness, and frustration in the minds of teachers.
Teachers are leaving their jobs โ€” some quietly, others emotionally withdrawing.
And the younger generation? They simply donโ€™t want to become teachers at all....

Why is this happening?

๐Ÿ”น *1. The Web of Bureaucracy Around Teachers*
๐Ÿ“ Instead of teaching, teachers are endlessly caught up in reports, forms, and data uploads.
๐Ÿ“ โ€œSend photos,โ€ โ€œProvide proof,โ€ โ€œUpload reportsโ€ โ€” this has become their daily routine.
๐Ÿ“ A teacherโ€™s presence in the classroom has reduced, while their presence in front of a screen has increased.

๐Ÿ”น *2. The Overemphasis on Technology*
๐Ÿ“ Forced use of digital tools, apps, and smart boards for every subject.
๐Ÿ“ โ€œUse technologyโ€ โ€” a blanket order, regardless of the subject, the childโ€™s age, or the context.
๐Ÿ“ The warmth of human interaction has vanished; education has become machine-centered.

๐Ÿ”น *3. Teachers Turned Into Event Managers*
๐Ÿ“ Every day must celebrate something โ€” Yoga Day, Mother Tongue Day, Environment Dayโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ“ The quality of education is judged not by learning outcomes, but by the number and show of events.
๐Ÿ“ Both principals and teachers are trapped in this performance race.

๐Ÿ”น *4. The Plight of unaided Teachers*
๐Ÿ“Multiple non-academic activities, preparing reports almost everyday, mundane compliance chores, fees recovery, admissions calling, festival celebrations and national day celebrations for photos, torrid working conditions, less salary, less leaves, no respect from management and students, compromised exam and assessment system to achieve the desired 'attainment level' so as to obtain good grades in some accreditation.
๐Ÿ“Teachers have become very busy in amassing certificates for themselves by attending various development programmes and also writing so called 'research papers' that is not even remotely related to his quality of teaching.

๐Ÿ”น *5. The Plight of Rural Teachers*
๐Ÿ“ Two or three teachers handling hundreds of students.
๐Ÿ“ Along with teaching, they manage midday meals, scholarships, uniforms, bicycles, and government reports.
๐Ÿ“ Collecting and forwarding data has become more important than teaching.

๐Ÿ”น *6. Mental Stress and Loss of Self-Respect*
๐Ÿ“ Continuous top-down control has eroded teachersโ€™ confidence.
๐Ÿ“ Every action demands proof โ€” trust has disappeared.
๐Ÿ“ While dealing with studentsโ€™ stress and behavioral issues, teachers themselves are emotionally drained.
๐Ÿ“ Parentsโ€™ unrealistic expectations add pressure โ€” proof is expected for everything.

๐Ÿ”น *7. The profession once termed noble...now turning ignoble*
๐Ÿ“So much hypocrisy has creeped into the education system that a good teacher has become an endangered specie.
๐Ÿ“ Definition of a good teacher is now totally changed - he is not the one who has good command of the subject or language or has a good rapport with students and is actually a friend, philosopher and guide to the students - a good teacher now is the one who takes attendance, take photos everyday of every program, prepares meaningless reports of conducted and non-conducted programs, gets feedback forms filled, and when free from all these clerical jobs, he /she engages students and reads out lines from the PPT and declares the syllabus as over.

๐Ÿ”น *8. The True Purpose of Education Is Lost*
๐Ÿ“ Heavy pressure on teachers to complete the syllabus at any cost.
๐Ÿ“ Overcrowded curricula with too many subjects.
๐Ÿ“ Schools are no longer places where human beings are shaped.
๐Ÿ“ The education system has turned into a project to display efficiency.
๐Ÿ“ The bond between teacher and student โ€” once the heart of education โ€” is now lost amid data and deadlines.
Students see teachers as service providers... the respect is gone.

๐Ÿ”น *Now or never - The Time to Reflect and take corrective action before the soul of a teacher is dead and buried.*

The focus of education must return to children and teachers, not to data and reports.

If teachers are not given freedom, respect, and trust,
then the education of tomorrow will become lifeless.

๐Ÿ“š Letโ€™s once again believe in our teachers.
Because if the teacher leaves, the school may still stand โ€” but education will not.
