**With great regret, we have to announce official closure of Brainworks preschool at Kalyan*
A huge debt of gratitude also goes out to the doctors, nurses, first responders, hospital staff, police personnel, municipal staff and others who are at the front and center of this crisis.
Unfortulately, for those of us working in the area of primary education, a lot of these changes are untenable. Because of the strict requirements of social distancing, personal hygiene, and medical safety measures, schooling at any level will have to introduce a lot of additional precedures and processes. Many of the higher educational institutions are planning to switch to an online mode of instruction, so that physical safety is easier to maintain. However, this may not be practical for primary and pre-primary education, where personal contact and care are an important part of the process.
A huge thanks to all My children who have given us smiles and happiness in this journey..

Counting is important because the meaning attached to counting is the key conceptual idea on which all other number concepts are based. Children have often learnt the counting sequence as a rote procedure. They need to learn the meaning of counting by using counting skills in a variety of meaningful situations.

As all of us are adjusting to this new life of staying home and social distancing, we want you all to understand how much *MOMS* deserves in this situations.
Tearing paper is an amazing fine motor activity for kids. It requires strength & endurance of small muscles in the hand.
These intrinsic muscles are important in many fine motor skills, including handwriting, coloring, managing buttons, zippers, manipulating pegs, and many more.
When paper is torn, the hands assume a great tripod grasp which is effective and mature grasp for writing and coloring.
The non-dominant hand is assisting in tearing and encourages appropriate assistance for tasks like holding paper while writing, and managing same while cutting by scissors.
