ప్రతి పిల్లవాడూ ఒకే వేగంతో నేర్చుకోడు.
కానీ ప్రతి పిల్లవాడికీ తన వేగంలో నేర్చుకునే అవకాశం ఉండాలి.

ఇంతకుముందు తనపై “dull student” అనే ముద్ర పడిన అనుభవం ఉన్నా, అక్షరవనం రీసెర్చ్ సెంటర్ లో తనకు నచ్చిన వేగంలో నేర్చుకునే స్వేచ్ఛ లభించింది. ఎన్ని సార్లు సందేహాలు అడిగినా ఓపికగా సమాధానం చెప్పే ఉపాధ్యాయులు… ఒత్తిడి లేకుండా నేర్చుకునే వాతావరణం… ఇవన్నీ అతనిలో ఒక కొత్త నమ్మకాన్ని పెంచాయి.

🌱 “విద్యలో మార్పు ఒక్క పాఠశాలకు మాత్రమే పరిమితం కాకూడదు… ప్రతి ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలకు చేరాలి.”

MV Foundationకు చెందిన రాజేంద్ర ప్రసాద్ గారు, అక్షరవనాన్ని సందర్శించిన అనంతరం తమ అభిప్రాయాలను పంచుకున్నారు.

వందేమాతరం ఫౌండేషన్ విద్యపై చేస్తున్న పరిశోధన, అక్షరవనంలో అమలు చేస్తున్న వినూత్న విద్యా విధానం, ముఖ్యంగా చదువులో వెనుకబడిన పిల్లలకు అందిస్తున్న వ్యక్తిగత సహకారం ఆయనను ఎంతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి.

పిల్లలు ప్రతి అంశాన్ని పూర్తిగా అర్థం చేసుకునేలా ఉండే స్వేచ్ఛాయుతమైన అభ్యాస వాతావరణం, నిరంతర మూల్యాంకన (Continuous Assessment) విధానం, ప్రతి విద్యార్థి తన వేగానికి అనుగుణంగా నేర్చుకునే అవకాశం కల్పించడం వంటి అంశాలు పిల్లల అభ్యాసాన్ని మరింత వేగవంతం చేస్తున్నాయని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఇలాంటి విద్యా విధానాన్ని ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలల్లో పెద్ద స్థాయిలో అమలు చేయడం తదుపరి లక్ష్యమని, అందుకోసం వివిధ సంస్థల సహకారంతో కలిసి పనిచేయాలని తమ ఆకాంక్షను వ్యక్తం చేశ�

🎉 పండుగలు… అక్షరవనంలో ఒక కుటుంబ వేడుక! ❤️

అక్షరవనంలో విద్యార్థులకు సంవత్సరానికి 20 రోజుల సెలవులు ఉంటాయి. కానీ చాలా మంది విద్యార్థులు పండుగల కోసం ఇంటికి వెళ్లరు.

ఎందుకంటే… పండుగే అక్షరవనానికి వస్తుంది! 🌿

పిల్లల తల్లిదండ్రులు అక్షరవనానికి వచ్చి, అందరూ కలిసి ప్రతి పండుగను ఒక పెద్ద కుటుంబంలా జరుపుకుంటారు. సంప్రదాయ వంటకాలు కలిసి వండుతారు, పంచుకుంటారు, నవ్వుకుంటారు, సంస్కృతిని అనుభవిస్తారు.

ఇంట్లో పండుగ అంటే నాలుగు లేదా ఐదుగురు మాత్రమే ఉంటారు. కానీ అక్షరవనంలో మాత్రం వందలాది మంది కలిసి ఒకే కుటుంబంలా సంబరాలు చేసుకుంటారు. ఆ అనుబంధం, ఆ ఆత్మీయత, ఆ ఆనందం… ప్రతి విద్యార్థి జీవితాంతం గుర్తుంచుకునే జ్ఞాపకంగా మిగిలిపోతుంది.

🌱 స్వయంగా నేర్చుకోవడమే నా బలం.

అక్షరవనంలో మాకు కేవలం పాఠాలు చెప్పలేదు… ఎలా నేర్చుకోవాలో నేర్పించారు.

ప్రతి అంశాన్ని పూర్తిగా అర్థం చేసుకునే వరకు నేర్చుకునేవాళ్లం. మేమే మా లక్ష్యాలను నిర్ణయించుకునేవాళ్లం. తప్పులు జరిగినప్పుడు ఎవరో సరిచేయడం కోసం ఎదురుచూడకుండా, వాటిని గుర్తించి మేమే సరిదిద్దుకునేవాళ్లం.

ఈ Self Learning విధానం నాకు అక్షరవనంలోనే కాదు, ఉన్నత విద్యలో కూడా ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడింది. కొత్త విషయాలు నేర్చుకోవడంలో, సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించడంలో, స్వయంగా పరిశోధించడంలో ఈ అలవాటు నాకు ఎంతో ఆత్మవిశ్వాసాన్ని ఇచ్చింది.

నిజమైన విద్య అంటే సమాధానాలు చెప్పడం కాదు… సమాధానాలను వెతికే సామర్థ్యాన్ని పెంపొందించడం.

అక్షరవనం ప్రతి విద్యార్థిని జీవితాంతం నేర్చుకునే వ్యక్తిగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతుంది.

📚 Mastery-Based Progression vs Time-Based Progression

In most schools, students move to the next lesson simply because time has passed. Whether they fully understand the concept or not, the class moves forward to complete the syllabus.

At Aksharavanam, learning works differently.

Students progress only after they have truly understood and mastered a concept. Learning is not limited by a timetable—it is guided by understanding.

Every child learns at a different pace. Some concepts take longer, some come naturally. Instead of asking, "Did we finish the lesson?" we ask, "Did the student understand it?"
