The more we learn, the more we realize how much remains unknown.

True wisdom does not make a person arrogant; it makes them humble. Every new question reveals another layer of what we do not yet understand. Knowledge expands not only what we know, but also our awareness of the limits of what we know.

This thought is commonly attributed to Aristotle, though the exact wording is not found verbatim in Metaphysics. It reflects a related idea in Book I, where Aristotle connects philosophy with wonder, questioning, and the recognition of ignorance.

Sometimes, the deepest sign of intelligence is simply knowing how much we still have to learn.
