Physical Education Tour — Class X
Date: 7th–9th November 2025
Venue: Palzor Stadium, Gangtok, Sikkim
With the aim of keeping children active, fit, and knowledgeable as per the objectives of Active CISCE, an educational tour was organised to provide students with a better understanding of how a stadium functions smoothly and how athletes are trained and promoted to higher levels.
On 7th November 2025, the students of Class X Physical Education visited Palzor Stadium, Gangtok, to learn about the sporting structure of Sikkim and observe the systems that support athlete development in the state.
From 7th to 9th November, students actively participated in and observed a range of activities, including:
Early morning practice sessions, where they witnessed and took part in fundamental training routines.
An interactive session with senior players of Sikkim, gaining insights into their journey, challenges, and achievements in sports.
A meeting with the senior-most referee of Sikkim Mr.CHAMCHUK LAMA HEAD OF REFEREES (SIKKIM) SIKKIM FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, who shared valuable knowledge on rules, officiating, and the scope of refereeing as a career.
Apart from the educational aspects, the children thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They spent quality time with friends at the hotel, enjoyed the delicious meals served, and explored MG Road in the evenings, experiencing the lively culture of Gangtok.
The tour also allowed the students to visit some of the famous waterfalls of Sikkim, giving them the opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
Overall, the educational tour was enriching, enjoyable, and highly informative.
It provided the students with practical exposure to professional sports training as well as memorable experiences with peers, while deepening their understanding of Sikkim’s sporting environment, culture, and natural attractions.
