Welcome to a joint project between the Himalayan Institute of Goodwill and Living Ethics, Darjeeling Goodwill Centre, Rimpocha and Art Mile.
We invite children and teens below the age of 18 to participate in a video project on the theme: ‘Young World Citizens and the Lockdown’ that will be put up on various online platforms.
The aim of the project is to listen to our young and allow a conscious elaboration of the worldwide crisis and its potential value for the life of humanity and Planet. The video will be a selective compilation of reflections from children from around the world. We may also use individual videos as stand alone posts.
How to Participate:
Write down the questions and keep them ready.
Have children prepare the answers in any language, without any help. Help the child translate the question if they may need it.
Set up your recording device and space. preferably good quality resolution video, in a bright space, with the child’s face covering almost 50% of the frame (we’re not interested in the background) and low ambient noise.
Start recording and ask the first question. Have the child answer looking into a camera. Do the same with the other questions like an interview.
Have the child speak their Full Name, School and Location. End recording.
Send the file over email to [email protected] or through WhatsApp to +918451997938 from the parent/ trusted adult’s number only.
Do type and send the Full Name, School and Location, Name of the language that you are answering in and the English translation at the time of submission.
Questions:
1. What is the one thing that has changed in your life during the lockdown that you absolutely like?
2. What is the one things that has changed in your life during the lockdown that you are absolutely not happy with?
3. What is the most important value that you have learnt because of this lockdown?
4. What do you want the world to be like after the lockdown? Dream - Imagine - Create!
We will only use the location publicly and all other information - Name, School, Phone Number or Email ID remain confidential. We are very serious about this. Submission of the video implies consent for publication. If at any point you would like to withdraw the child’s entry, please inform us through email. We would like to represent the young from many walks of life and hence, if you can share this with others, it will be great!
