China is emerging as a major global hub for medical education as it boasts of more than 630 higher learning institutions from the stream with 1.76 million students, including thousands from IndiaThere are 1.76 million students studying at medical institutes nationwide at present. China has been emerging as a major centre for medical education attracting students from abroad in recent years.According to official figures over 8,000 Indian students enrolled to study Medicine in China in 2010. This year the numbers were expected to go up by few hundreds. The reason according to Indian officials was that it costs lot cheaper to study in China compared to private medical colleges in India and the facilities were also lot better.Considering the growing popularity in India n neighbouring countries, a number of Chinese medical schools have recruited foreign medical professors for better communication (from India,Nepal,Bangladesh,Pakistan) to teach in their institutions.The Chinese Health Ministry said it had set up a multilevel medical education that offers diploma courses ranging from bachelor's to postdoctoral studies as well as part-time classes for medical workers, thanks to decades-long reforms in the field. Why china for MBBS course?????? 1)MCI/ WHO recognized.The medical universities we offer are public universities under the supervision of the Chinese Government. All are listed in the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s "Directory of World Medical Schools". This listing means that graduates are eligible to attend national medical screening tests such as MCI, PMDC, USMLE, PLAB, HPCSA, SCHS, etc. 2)On par with western higher education in medicine.Most of China's medical universities are ranked among the top 500 universities in the world and highly reputed for being at the forefront of the field of modern medicine. Moreover, English-medium MBBS programs have been taught for years, and there are now lots of graduates pursuing a further education in China or being a doctor in their own country. According the students' actual requirements, each university will develop its own featured teaching system and course schedule based on the national standard regulations.The approved universities that enroll international students for the undergraduate medical program in English in China shall have the authority to grant master's degree in Basic Medicine and Clinical Medicine (First-level Subjects), and the affiliated hospitals with Grade III, Level A. Therefore to some extend the labs and infrastructure are better than most of the governmental colleges in Asia, Africa and other countries. The faculty of the programs is mainly composed of Chinese teachers with doctor or master degrees, who major in Medicine and have experiences of studying or working abroad, and some foreign teachers from India, Nepal or Pakistan, who meet the international education standard. 3). MBBS in English languageThe medium of program instruction is purely English. Most of the universities have a strong reputation and have taught MBBS in English for all 5 years. The medical degree awarded is valid throughout the world and eligible for Medical Council of India (MCI), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), Medical and Dental Professions Board, Health Professions Council of South Africa, the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) in the UK, and the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) for Screening test conducted by the National Board of Examination under each country. Some universities will specially invite foreign experienced medical professionals to give a lecture or Doctor licensed examination preparation training.
