The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm at Satya Ranjan College. The program commenced at 7:30 AM with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Respected Principal. The National Flag was unfurled to the tunes of the National Anthem, followed by a guard of honor presented by the NCC and NSS volunteers of the college.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble MLA, Shri Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha in the presence of the Respected Principal Dr Bishwajit Bhattacharjee , paid tribute to the freedom fighters and urged the students to uphold the values of unity, discipline, and national integrity. The event witnessed vibrant cultural performances including patriotic songs, dance, and speeches by students that reflected the spirit of "Azadi" and the journey of 80 years of Independent India.
Faculty members, staff, and a large number of students participated in the celebration, which concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge to contribute towards nation-building. The atmosphere was filled with pride, unity, and the tricolor spirit as the college commemorated eight decades of freedom.
