Those are the glimpses from Regional Tech Fest - 2024, an initiative by Dept of Tech Education, AP.
A 2 days event started on 3rd Dec at Andhra Pradesh, Kakinada.

This Regional Tech Fest is a need of hour which would foster innovation, inspire creativity, and connect students with industry leaders. It promotes skill development, entrepreneurship, and technological growth, positioning the state as a hub for innovation and economic progress.
This is an exceptional platform for various polytechnic’s students to showcase their skills and we are pretty sure that all the attendees including chief guest, guest of honour and special invitees would be mesmerized with student’s efforts.
Thanks to various generous donors for making this event happening including Dr Kumar Raja( EC Member – APTOSA) for his contribution of INR 50K towards this inaugural function. Our best wishes to entire team which is organizing this event and our (APTOSA’s) continuous support will be always there. To throw some light on APTOSA, APTOSA was established and registered way back in 2003 by a team of old students headed by Late Sri Chikala Suryanarayana garu. Under his leadership we celebrated Diamond Jubilee of APT in 2006 after undertaking lot of development activities like roof repairs, constructing toilet blocks for girls, budling septic tanks, interior and exterior painting of the APT main building. We also created an AC E-Class Room. In the recent past we undertook repairs of 330 windows and doors, rewiring, renovation of all toilets with water facility, construction of a new cycle shed, pest control to mention a few. We also supplied RO Plant, 100ceiling fans, 10 wall mounting fans, cut machine to Auto lab, repairs of Motors and Generators in Electrical lab, Gravity apparatus and UPS in Civil Lab, partition for Electronics Lab, double desks for 2class rooms of Mechanical Department a Gross cutter, 250 armless chairs, 20open racks and 8Almirahs and a digital Library. We spent about ₹100lakhs including providing the work of 5000 man-days, spending about ₹40Lakhs for their wages. Two consecutive District Collectors funded ₹5Lakhs each to APTOSA and that speaks about the credibility, transparency of APTOSA and its activities. We did our part in getting the National Board Accreditation for CIVIL and MECHANICAL Engineering Sections of APT. All the above is said only to bring awareness among all the participants and old students.

Good Morning,
Dear friends. Enrollment drive is going this month. As we. observed, many of our donors are not life members of APTOSA and we have to make them as life members first. Our President Sri TPV Ramana garu gave a call on 1st February and accordingly many new members joined. On 12th february alone 28 joined out of 25 are from Transport department at the instance of our vice president, Sri Sampath kumar. I once again make a request that all of us should strive to make atleast 1000 new members in this month. I am confident that it is just possible if all of you put your hands together.

Today Sri Govinda garu from computers(1999-2002) and Sri Srinivas garu from civil ( 1978-1981) witnessed the ongoing works which are undertaken by APTOSA and expressed happiness and they promised to bring awareness in their whatsapp groups about the developments and try their best for additional funds.

CM2 class room in Andhra Polytechnic was adopted for its renovation n repairs by Sri Sampath garu, MVI Tanuku an old student of APT.
Today students of D.CM.2 have done the Inauguration celebrations on the renovation of this classroom.
Students are so happy and pampered with this encouragement.

Note: Andhra Polytechnic old students’ association is working for APT students. The till date expenses towards uplifting activities of APT by APTOSA is about Rs.47 Lakhs.

APTOSA has arranged the Student Empowerment Training (SET) on 10-01-2022.
This gathering have seen around 450 students (2nd year), few teaching faculty, some APTOSA office bearers, started at 9.30am as scheduled. Started off with a song sung by Miss Padala Sravya n Sravanthi (daughters of our speaker Sri Padala Surya, Founder of Padala Charitable Trust) on Positive Vibes n time management. Then, Sri Nageswara Rao garu (an old student of APT 1987-91 civil batch) initiated with his presentation, gave in-depth knowledge on how the students can be helpful to APT and APTOSA.
Then, Today's speaker Sri Padala Surya garu has really empowered all the students n staff with his excellent training tools. Students were really shown keen interest n grasped the topic to the core.
Then few of our office bearers like Sri Sampath garu, Mr Suresh, Sri Siva prakash garu, myself has shared their life experiences, association with APTOSA, views on upcoming events etc.
Last but not least, our president Sri TPV Ramana garu briefed the audience about all activities that has been taken up (Completed, on going, future planned) by APTOSA.

We will be planning to have similar kind of sessions for remaining both 1st year n 3rd year students in this month itself.

We shall be conducting annual sports meet for all students every year which will be fully taken care by APTOSA.

A big round of applause to 1987-91 Civil engg batch old students for their contribution of Rs 1.5L towards the donation for these activities. Sri Nageswara Rao of same batch has been handed over the cheque to APTOSA president.

Overall, its a very successful event (based on the feedback received from the people) by following all covid safety protocols and looking forward to have more these kinda sessions in the future.

Thanks to all who assisted in planning, ex*****on and participation of today's event.

I would request all the old students to come forward and enroll for life membership of APTOSA n be part of this noble cause (uplifting activities of APT) by donating funds.
