SDS has started E-leaning platform 'SDS-Academy' to built the capacity of development professionals, grassroots workers and farmers during lockdown period. The feedback of the participants is quite encouraging and it seems that SDS Academy has much relevant to provide capacity building support to different development professionals, entrepreneurs and farmers with large number and low cost.

Improve pig farming is a potential livelihood activity for small and marginal farmers of Northeast India. SDS provided technical support to Mizoram State Rural Livelihood Mission (MzSRLM) to build the capacity of 2000 small pig rearers.

As a technical support organisation in fishery value chain development, one of the major effort of SDS is to standardise the different models in fishery. Smallholder fish farmer may utilise the northwestern boundaries of their fishery for different vegetables cultivation to meet the need of the family and the surplus can be sold out for additional income generation.

Training on ‘Integrated Pest & Disease Management’ has been conducted for a group of Development Professionals with associating industries well know resource person. This course will groom the participants to develop deeper understanding on the root cause of the problem and possible solution on agro-ecological practices.

SDS Academy building knowledge blocks by harnessing the power of technology. We have already trained more than 200 participants across northeast region within the span of 20 days. We are constantly working to build context specific curriculum which can be access by anyone and anywhere in India.
