Ref: Educational Field Trip to the Garbage Treatment Plant

Greetings from Kadapa Public School!

We are delighted to share that our students of Classes IV to VII had the opportunity to visit the Micro Composting Centre near Pulampalli, maintained by the Kadapa Municipal Corporation, as part of an educational field trip.

Highlights of the Visit

During the visit, students observed the complete process of converting biodegradable (wet) waste into nutrient-rich compost. They learned that the collected organic waste undergoes a carefully monitored composting process for 42 days, resulting in high-quality compost.

The compost produced at the centre is supplied to the Horticulture Research Centre and is also used to maintain the greenery along road dividers and other public spaces.

This real-life experience helped students understand the concept of a Circular Economy, where organic waste is transformed into a valuable resource instead of being discarded, thereby promoting environmental sustainability.

Learning Outcomes

1. Environmental Awareness
Students understood the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and sustainable waste management practices.

2. Scientific Understanding
They gained practical knowledge about the composting process and the vital role of microorganisms in decomposing organic waste.

3. Understanding the Circular Economy
Students learned how biodegradable waste can be converted into a valuable product that supports agriculture, horticulture, and urban greenery.

4. Social Responsibility
The visit instilled respect for sanitation workers and helped students appreciate the efforts of civic authorities in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

5. Sustainable Living
Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly habits such as reducing waste, segregating household waste, and composting biodegradable waste at home.

2. Reading Fluency: Improved pronunciation and loud reading skills

**Greetings from Kadapa Public School!**

As part of our **Early Years Language & Concept Development Programme**, our PP2 students enthusiastically participated in a **"Left and Right" Speaking Activity** today.

**What Your Child Did:**

Students confidently identified their **left** and **right** hands while speaking in front of their classmates using a microphone. They demonstrated the concept by holding a **pink bottle in their right hand** and a **black bottle in their left hand**, helping them connect language with real-life experiences.

**Learning Outcomes:**

* Developed body awareness by correctly identifying left and right directions.
* Enhanced vocabulary by using positional words in complete sentences.
* Improved communication and public speaking skills through microphone-based presentations.
* Built self-confidence while expressing ideas before peers.
* Strengthened listening, observation, and critical thinking skills through experiential learning.

At **Kadapa Public School**, we believe that **learning by doing** makes concepts meaningful, enjoyable, and long-lasting. These engaging classroom activities help children develop strong language, cognitive, and life skills from an early age.
