A Field Study to Charaideo and Sivasagar was conducted for the 6th semester students on 04-04-2025 as a mandatory part of their Add-on course syllabus.

Celebration of Chatra Divas (Students' Day) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma on 01-04-2025, organized by the Department of History in collaboration with IQAC and Devi Nivas of D.C.B. Girls' College, Jorhat.
An insightful talk was delivered by Dr. Monalisha Khakhlari, Assistant Professor of History on 'The Life and Contribution of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma '. The programme was followed by an informal discussion on Upendra Nath Brahma's indelible contribution in student politics and the redefining of Bodo identity.

The Wall Magazine, কাৰেং of the Department of History was inaugurated today by Principal i/c of DCB Girls' College, Dr. Deepa Hazarika. The magazine successfully bagged the 3rd position in the Inter-Departmental Wall Magazine competition. The theme chosen for this year was 'অসমত ডাইনী হত্যা: অন্ধবিশ্বাস বনাম বৈজ্ঞানিক মানসিকতা' The Best Editorial was awarded to Trishapriya Neog and the Best Article (English section) to Kristi Borchetia for their commendable efforts.
The editorial team left no stone unturned to make it a thriving event. Best wishes to all the students of the department.
