Today, The Department of Plant Pathology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat has been honoured by the gracious present of our respected Vice Chancellor (Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka), Dean (Dr. Prasanna Kumar Pathak) and Director of Research (Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chetia).

Today World Environment Day, 2024 has been celebrated with the theme "Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience" organised by the students and staff of the Dept. of Plant Pathology headed by our respected HOD (Dr. Palash Debnath sir). It was our pleasure to witness and participate in such celebration with remarkable activities.

On 31st March 2024, Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visited the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Different labs of the department were visited by him in the presence of HOD & faculty members. He interacted with the M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholars regarding their research works. All the faculty members and the students of the department were very much pleased and thankful for his visit, his valuable insights and feedbacks.

Glimpses of the visit of Dr. Arvind Sharma and Dr. S. D Sharma, representatives of World Bank to the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat on 4th March, 2024. Different labs of the department namely Mycology lab, Bacteriology lab, Virology lab, Molecular Plant pathogen interaction lab and Nanotechnology lab were visited by them in the presence of our professors and scientists. Apart from the interactions with the M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholars regarding their research works, the ongoing works in the department were also discussed briefly with Dr. Arvind Sharma and Dr. S. D Sharma by the faculty members. All the faculty members and the students of the department were very much pleased and thankful for their visit, valuable insights and feedbacks.
