Dr Sanjay Kumar Goswami,Scientist(ARS),Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research,Lucknow delivered an online interactive session on "Fungal taxonomy & Systematics with special reference to Taxonomy of important Deuteromycetes fungi' for the students of our department today and also shared his wealth of experiences on preparation strategy for ARS/NET/SRF (Plant Pathology) exams.

BREAKING NEWS !!!

"PLANT PATHOLOGY TEAM WON 1LAKH ArcGIS SOFTWARE LICENSE "

On the ocassion of GIS day celebration organized today (17/Nov/2021) by the Assam Agribusiness & Rural Transformation (APART) team of the Assam Agricultural University, two faculties of the department- Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Dr. Bharat Ch. Nath and 1 Ph.D student- Ms. Swagata Saikia and a Masters student- Ms. Pinkumoni Bokotial have made the department proud. The representatives of the department won a subscription license to use the ArcGIS software that worth around one lakh rupees, after a friendly competition with other attendees.
The software will be helpful to the students of the department and beyond in their data analysis.

The team of the training program was
"Understanding GIS".

We rejoice with the team for bringing an accolade to the department. We hope to see more!

UPDATE: NEW STUDENTS GETTING READY FOR FULL ACADEMY RESUMPTION.

We welcome our new postgraduate students to our department starting with 2days orientation programme which took place on 15 and 16 Nov, 2021 respectively. In attendance was the HoD (Prof. P.D. Nath), Dr. Munmi Borah, Dr. Bharat Nath and other teaching members of the department.

We wish out new students a wonderful and fruitful years of study.
