Army Public School, Jorhat brought laurels to the institution by securing the first position in the Eastern Command Cluster-II Hindi Debate Competition held on 18th August 2026.

The competition brought together talented speakers from APS Narangi, APS Basistha, APS Tezpur, APS Missamari, APS Narengi and APS Jorhat. Our participants stood out with their persuasive arguments and confident delivery, earning the coveted first prize.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our students and the guidance of our teachers.

APS Jorhat celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervor and pride. The event began by welcoming the invited parents, followed by the hoisting of the national flag and the solemn rendition of the National Anthem. The festivities kicked off with an enthusiastic performance by the young children of Balvatika, which set a joyful tone for a series of engaging presentations, including a soulful group song, a thought-provoking speech, a captivating dance and an energetic patriotic dance. In her address, the Principal, Mrs. Sonia Ghai, inspired the students to pursue their dreams with steady determination and to remain resilient when facing life's challenges. The celebration wrapped up with refreshments, leaving everyone with a deep sense of gratitude, pride, and renewed commitment to the nation.

A POCSO awareness session was conducted today for the students of classes VI to VIII with the objective of creating awareness about child safety , personal boundaries and the Protection of Children from Sexual offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012.

Army Public School Jorhat celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with immense enthusiasm and high spirits. The event brought together students, teachers and supporting staff to embrace the timeless tradition of yoga, promoting a collective message of wellness, mindfulness and unity.
​The session was conducted under the expert supervision of Sri Mridul Chetia, District Yoga Instructor under the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam.
Participants strictly followed the official Common Yoga Protocol, beginning with systematic loosening exercises (Chalana Kriya) to prepare the body.
Under Sri Chetia's guidance, everyone performed a series of Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation techniques designed to enhance physical flexibility and mental clarity.
