The Social Service Society of Jorhat Medical College Students' Association, with support from the Association of Surgeons Assam State Chapter, organized a visit to Dohgaon Anath Ashram, where MBBS students spent the day engaging with children through origami, paper plate mask-making, games, and an awareness act on personal safety. The orphanage management expressed gratitude, emphasizing the importance of such visits in spreading joy and fostering social responsibility among future doctors. The event showcased the impact of community service, leaving a lasting impression on both students and children.

'Jorhat Medical College Welcomes all the newly admitted 1st Year MBBS Students (15th Batch of JMCH) to a New Journey in Medical College'

The program started with Lighting of Lamp in presence of our respected Principal cm Chief- superintendent Prof. (Dr.) Ranta Kanta Talukdar sir; Vice- principal Prof. (Dr.) Pranabjit Biswanath sir; Superintendent Dr. Manab Jyoti Gohain Sir, Staff President Prof. (Dr.) Rubi Saikia Ma'am and Convener of RC-MET Dr. Manab Narayan Baruah Sir.

The newly admitted students were addressed by our respected Head of the departments and faculties of various departments. Oath taking ceremony was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Pranabjit Biswanath Sir. The students of JMCH performed the college chorus to welcome the new students.

The program ended with the visit of the new students to the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Community Medicine.

We wish the new batch a wonderful MBBS journey ahead.

A year ago on 26th of Aug, 2022 the office of JMCSA(Jorhat Medical College Student's Association) was inaugurated by respected Principal Dr. (Prof) Ratna Kanta Talukdar Sir in presence of respected Vice Principal Dr. (Prof) Pranabjit Bishwanath Sir and Superintendent Dr. Purnima Barua ma'am, our respected faculties, members of JMCSA 21-22 and students of JMCH

On the evening of August 15, our students lit candles throughout the entire campus. The JMC Students Association organised this campus illumination. It produced a beautiful and tranquil scene that we and everyone else could enjoy. By lighting the lights, we paid tribute to all of the freedom fighters who gave their lives so that our homeland may achieve independence.🕯️✨

Keeping up with tradition, the OBASSG(Old Boys Association Sainik School Goalpara) organised the Jorhat chapter of their Independence Day blood donation drive in Jorhat medical college on 15August 2023 in association with the JMCSA. Many students of Jorhat Medical college participated in the event for this noble cause and turned this event into a success.

On the afternoon of August 15, the JMCSA in association with JDA organised a friendly cricket competition between PGs, Internees, and UGs on the grounds of the PG hostel. Although all three teams played with great zeal and sportsmanship, our UG students ultimately prevailed, raised the trophy, and celebrated their victory.🏆🏏✨

The 77th anniversary of India's Independence was celebrated on August 15,2023 in JMCH Campus.Our college too observed this momentous event with great ferver. The national flag 🇮🇳 was hoisted by our esteemed Principal Sir, followed by some cultural programmes on themes of patriotism by our college's students. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
