This year, we introduced a new bi-annual event called Aaroh. Aaroh is a platform for artists to come and showcase their creativity.

MUKT - The Band performed live on the 13th of September, 2019 to inaugurate the first edition of आरोह |

This Ahmedabad based band specialises in combining music with literature and performs on the poems written by renowned poets like Kabir Ibn-e-Insha, Dharamveer Bharti, Kaifi Azmi and others. The members of the bands are Yash Joshi, Udit bhavshar, Tarun Gagdekar, Raag Jadav and Dhaval Yadav. They prefer the genres of folk fusion, rock and blues. Mukt seems to have been influenced by musicians like The Raghu Dixit Project, Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café and Indian Ocean. Among international artists, the band draws inspiration from Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, Queen and others.

If not for the kites, people definitely showed up for the ghevar and nimbu paani!

Rotary Club of Jodhpur and Virasat Foundation, in association with other sponsors are organising a heritage walk on 24th March 2019. The tickets are priced at a nominal rate of Rs.500/- per person, and all the proceeds from this heritage walk will be used for the benefit of specially abled children. Interested students are requested to contact Ms.Reshma Ravipati for tickets.
