" The Epic story of tomorrow can't be written if it ends today..."
It's a universally acknowledged truth that we all go through a rough patch in our lives every so often but some people can feel those lows little bit harder than others and at times, it may seem like your world is crashing around you, su***de may seem like the only way out.
Su***de is a desperate attempt to escape suffering that has become unbearable. Blinded by feelings of self -loathing, hopelessness and isolation, a suicidal person can't see any way of finding relief except through death.
National Su***de Prevention begins on September 4 and ends on September 10. It is an annual campaign to educate and inform the general public about su***de prevention and the warning signs of su***de. It also aims to reduce the stigma surrounding su***de and encourage the pursuit of mental health assistance.
In this regard Department of Psychology, JNVU is organising an awareness program on 10 th of September, 2022 at New seminar Hall, New Campus. The program shall be as follows:-
"Paint A Hope" - Poster Making Competition - 9:30 a.m.
"WAIT!!" - A Talk, regarding the warning signs of Su***de and the available options for assistance, shall be delivered by the eminent speaker and Psychiatrist, Dr. Naresh Nebhinani, Head of the Department, Psychiatry, AIIMS, Jodhpur at 11:15 a.m.
"Pour Your Heart Out- Open Mic" at 1 p.m.
The su***de prevention program is a humble attempt to sensitize and bring awareness amongst the students and faculty members alike of the Jai Narain Vyas University.
Just a reminder that "Preventing Su***de is Everyone's Business..."
