Nuweiba is considered the most suitable area ( ideal place ) for astronomical observation( Observatory) and that is due to its clear and bright skies , in addition to its location away from all the
noisy and brightly – lit cities that limit seeing the stars during the night. Hence, the library was designed to inform people about Observatory and the Cosmic phenomena. So the library includes a small observatory that overlooks the sea and the sky and it is also surrounded by Nuweiba ’s mountains which descend towards the sea in harmony . The descending of the mountain was considered ( was taken into account ) when designing the library as the library building descends from the mountain to the sea. The reading hall overlooks the sea to provide a quiet scenery for the reader. There is also a small lecture room for studying the Cosmic phenomena. Moreover , there is a small administrative space , a library store and a reception area for visitors. The design of the library aims to achieve harmony with surrounding environment and enables people to know more about Observatory.
