Lal Bahadur Shastri 2nd Oct/ 2015
A great Nationalist and a patriot. As a Prime Minister of India he won international reputation, India fought a successful war under the leadership of Lal Bahadur Shastri. He enthused Indian public with the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kishan” during Indo-Pak war. He lived a short span of governance.
A short statured man with iron will power and modest thinking made India strong under his leadership. There was majesty behind his simplicity. He never felt shy of his poverty because of his honesty. He set an example as a great leader with his simple life. He is remembered with reverence and grace by every Indian, even today.

2 October Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi ji said “What you think you become”. He made efforts to eradicate poverty and untouch ability. He preached what he practised and practised what he preached. He sacrificed his comforts for the semi starving millions of India. His own life was an example and a great source of inspiration. He has immortalised his name in the pages of history. He rose for the freedom of India but later become an international figure. 2nd October is celebrated to commemorate his life and ideas for which he lived. He was of the opinion that “cleanliness is next to Godliness”. He believed that God created human beings but human beings created caste.
