Applications are invited for Authorisation for Restricted Imports for Watermelon seeds under ITC(HS) 12077090, applicable for import of Watermelon Seeds until 31.08.2024
The deadline for submitting online applications is 22.02.2024.

The Sagarmala Programme is the flagship programme of the Ministry of Shipping to promote port-led development in the country by exploiting India's 7,517 km long coastline, 14,500 km of potentially navigable waterways and its strategic location on key international maritime trade routes.
The prime objective of the Sagarmala project is to promote port-led direct and indirect development and to provide infrastructure to transport goods to and from ports quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

India wants South Korea to lower non-tariff barriers for textiles, pharma, rice, engineering, steel
India has asked South Korea to do away with non-tariff barriers (NTBs), such as mandatory local certification, bio-equivalence tests and other export hurdles, for at least six items, including textiles, mangoes, steel, engineering goods, pharmaceuticals and rice, to improve market access for Indian businesses and bridge the wide trade deficit.

Exports rise by 23.69% to $34 bn in Jan; trade deficit widens to $17.94 bn
The country's exports rose by 23.69 per cent to USD 34.06 billion in January on healthy performance by engineering, petroleum and gems and jewellery segments even as trade deficit widened to USD 17.94 billion during the month, according to provisional data of the commerce ministry.
