Suryoday Group successfully trained 25 students of Mechanical Final Year from JIET Group of Institutions on Electric Vehicle Design and Development along the Technical Support for Fabrication of 9 seator Electric Bus Prototype.
The idea behind this prototype development is to electrify the public transport to reduce both air pollution and noise pollution.
Under normal conditions the city buses and tempos produce a lot of emission which result in air pollution as well as noise pollution. By development of this prototype the aim is to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels along with reduced noise pollution and cost. This prototype of E-Vehicle was completed in 2 months from designing to manufacturing.
The vehicle is equiped with all the necessary systems and is road ready. It contains 1.8 KW motor which is powered by 100ah Lead Acid Battery. This battery can be charged in under 5 hours and gives a run of 80 to 100 kms. The cost per km on this vehicle is 70 paise which is very low as compared to Rs. 4 on fossil fuel run vehicle.
With initiative like Make in India and Vocal for local this is our step towards betterment of our country.
