The Little Game Box and the Smart Phone
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Monu who loved playing with his little video game box. It had wires, a small remote, and needed a TV to work. Sometimes, when the electricity went out, Monu would sit quietly and wait. He didn’t mind much—he would talk to his family or play outside until the lights came back.
The game box was simple. It had only a few games, but Monu felt happy every time he played. There was no rush, no pressure—just fun.
Years passed, and Monu grew up. One day, he got a shiny new smartphone. It was fast, colorful, and connected to the whole world. Now he could play thousands of games, watch videos, and talk to people anytime.
At first, Monu was amazed. But slowly, something changed.
He started spending more and more time on his phone. Even when he wasn’t playing, he kept checking it. The phone told him what to watch, what to play, and what to think about next. Sometimes, he felt tired, but he couldn’t stop.
One evening, the electricity went out again. His phone battery was dead too. With nothing to do, Monu sat quietly.
After a while, he picked up his old game box from a dusty corner. He smiled, remembering the simple joy it once gave him.
That night, Monu realized something important.
Moral of the story:
Not every new thing is better—simple joys can bring more peace than powerful technology. Use technology wisely, or it may start controlling you.
