Tilaiyans are one of the proudest creatures on the Earth. Every Tilaiyan is proud to be a Tilaiyan. Even those who couldn't adapt to the weathers of SST don't miss the chance to associate themselves to it. A Tilaiyan for a year, or for a month, or for a day, or even for some moments considers himself a Tilaiyan forever. Tilaiyans are very unique species found all over the world in various forms and varied roles. You never know when you are going to bump into one of these. These creatures claim to be the best and strive to be the best. They do it with the help of a chant, 'Forward Ever'. Their species is very wild and untamed. Follow great attacking measures if provoked. They bow to none but love, honesty and patriotism. Every specimen of this species considers himself a true soldier, irrespective of the star's presence on it's shoulders. Researches and findings reveal that they are similar to jackfruits; hard and ugly from outside but sweet and silky inner core. These don't-give-a-damn-thought-to-anyone short people are only manufactured in the premises of Sainik School Tilaiya. It's great to see them in their manufacturing stage. Potential, energy, enthusiasm leak from every body part. Minds constantly work to make the dreams real and concrete.
And the greatest moment comes when someone earns respect from these weirdos. It's a rare event though. But very general for them whom the Tilaiyans call 'Immortal Tilaiyans'. It's only them who are saluted by the Tilaiyans every now and then. Whenever a Cadet clad in his uniform and proud spirits crosses this place,he raises an automatic salute for the great souls. I am quite confident that nobody else can extract such level of respect and reverence from a Tilaiyan. It takes to be a Tilaiyan but it takes everything to be an 'Immortal Tilaiyan'.
So whenever you go home tell them of us and say, for their tomorrow we gave our today.
