🌱 Growing a Greener Tomorrow at IIT Bhubaneswar! 🌿

As part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign-3.0’ and ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’, IIT Bhubaneswar organised a mass plantation drive on 17 September 2026.

With enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, students, residents and NSS volunteers, around 200 avenue, fruit-bearing and ornamental saplings were planted across the campus. 🌳

The drive was inaugurated by Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to sustainability and a greener campus. 💚

🤝 Strengthening Research. Advancing Knowledge.

IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad have signed an MoU to strengthen research and academic collaboration, with an initial focus on semiconductors and basic sciences.

The partnership will facilitate joint research projects, doctoral supervision, faculty and student exchange, shared experimental resources, and collaborative efforts to secure external research funding.

The MoU marks a step towards leveraging the complementary strengths of both institutions to foster deeper research collaboration, knowledge exchange and academic engagement.
