DAV Public School, Patel Nagar celebrated Labour’s Day with great enthusiasm and respect on 1st May, 2026. The day was dedicated to honouring the hard work and contributions of all the supporting staff who play a vital role in the smooth functioning of the school.
A special program was organized to mark the occasion. Teachers expressed their gratitude through speeches and Labour's Day Song highlighting the dignity of labour. They conveyed the message that every job is important and deserves respect.
Handmade charts were prepared and displayed by students in the school premises .
Small tokens of appreciation were presented to the school’s helping staff as a gesture of love and respect.
The Principal addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of valuing every individual’s contribution. She encouraged students to always respect and appreciate the efforts of workers in their daily lives.
The celebration concluded with smiles and a sense of gratitude, leaving a meaningful message in the hearts of everyone present.
DAV Public School, Patel Nagar, celebrated World Earth Day on 25th April with great enthusiasm. Students delivered speeches on the importance of planting trees and protecting the environment. Western and eastern songs were performed, adding joy to the event. Our principal Mrs. Manjulata Samyantraya encouraged everyone to plant more trees and use paper bags instead of plastic. The celebration concluded with the sowing of plants in the school, promoting a greener future.
World Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April to promote environmental protection. It reminds us to save nature by reducing pollution, planting trees, and conserving resources. Let’s protect our Earth for a better future. 🌍
The Inter-House Men’s Volleyball Tournament was organised with great enthusiasm at DAV Public School, Patelnagar on 20 April 2026. The event was inaugurated by the respected Principal Madam, Mrs. Manjulata Sumatraya. In her address, she motivated the students to participate with true sportsmanship and teamwork.
The tournament commenced with the first knockout match between Red House (Shraddhanand) and Yellow House (Aurobindo). Both teams played with determination.
The second match was played between Green House (Dayanand) and Blue House (Vivekananda). Green House displayed excellent coordination and skills, securing a well-deserved victory.
The final match was played between Green House and Yellow House. It was a thrilling contest . After an intense competition, Green House (Dayanand) emerged as the overall winner of the tournament.
The event concluded on a successful note, promoting unity, discipline, and a healthy competitive spirit among the students.

Republic Day Celebration at D.A.V. Public School, Patelnagar, Jamshedpur
D.A.V. Public School, Patelnagar, Jamshedpur celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on the school campus.
The programme commenced at 8:00 a.m. with the gracious arrival of the Chief Guest, Sir Hareram Singh. The ceremony began with the unfurling of the Indian National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with a deep sense of pride and unity.
The Principal, Mrs. Manjulata Sumantrai, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Republic Day, reminding the students of the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and their responsibilities as responsible citizens of the nation.
This was followed by an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Sir Hareram Singh, who motivated the students to uphold the ideals of democracy, discipline, and national integrity in their daily lives and to stay away from the cellphone.
The cultural segment added colour and vibrancy to the programme. Students delivered speeches in both Hindi and English, expressing their thoughts on patriotism, freedom, and national unity. The audience was especially delighted by the devotional dances performed by the little children, which won warm applause from all present. Several other cultural events further enriched the celebration.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Principal, teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and all those who contributed to making the celebration a memorable success.
