"We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling, and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity."
- Paula Cohelo, The Alchemist

A diamond's endowment is dependent on the sheen of its brilliance. For how long can it deliver the same glitz and not rust even a little. National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur proudly announces that we have been delivering quality education for the past sixty years and continue to do so with gloss. To mark our blue ribbon achievement for excellence in education and revere our sixty years of establishment we will inaugurate the newly built and impeccable, " Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex". Spread across an area of 22380 square meters, centrally air-conditioned throughout, and equipped with top notch technology such as virtual classrooms and HD projectors, this complex will set a new bar in the infrastructure of educational campuses.
So fasten your seat belts and get ready! The inauguration is set for 20th October 2020 at 3 PM. The inauguration will be done by our Hon. Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Ji, we will also witness the gracious presence of Shri Sanjay Dhotre Ji Hon'ble Minister of State for Education and Prof Karunesh Kumar Shukla Hon'ble Director of NIT Jamshedpur. This is to inform you that a student of NIT Jamshedpur, Juli Jyoti is going through tough times and needs help. Her mother has been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer and is apparently undergoing treatment in Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre. The medical expenses are huge. Even after, trying to manage though all, the family is getting short of money.
We just cannot imagine the pressure on a family whose loved one is in need of a treatment added to the stress of collecting money. Therefore, we as a community hold a great responsibility to contribute to someone in need. So, the students, faculties, and staff of the institute are requested to spread a word regarding the same. We request our NIT /RIT Jamshedpur family out there to make donations according to their sufficiency. Every penny counts!

Ban those taboos,period!
In a country that houses 1.3 billion citizens, 88 percent women still don't use sanitary napkins owing to lack of awareness, access and affordability. Also, conversing openly about sanitary pads used by women during menstruation had been a big taboo in the Indian society.
OJASS'20 in association with NIINE starts a social awareness campaign LETS TALK,PERIOD to voice a topic which has been always hushed and educate the masses about how the lack of information about menstrual hygiene affects the lives of women across the country.
Students' Council, NIT Jamshedpur supports OJASS-2020 in its social campaign.
