*Future Ready Educators* - _Professional Development Session for Teachers__

What does it take to prepare students for a future that is constantly evolving?
This thought-provoking question formed the foundation of " *Future Ready Educators* ," a professional development programme conducted by *Raasha* for the teachers of Little Flower School on 13 June 2026.
The session was facilitated by *Ms. Ranita Karmakar* and *Ms. Shyamaleena Ganguly,* Founders of Raasha, who led teachers through a dynamic learning experience focused on reimagining education for the twenty-first century. Through interactive discussions, reflective exercises and collaborative activities, participants explored the importance of accountability in both work and life, while examining the realities of a rapidly changing *VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world.*

Teachers engaged with concepts such as *Mastering Attention and Micro-Learning, the KWL Strategy, HCCA Model, SPARK Model, Ego States, and Transactional Analysis,* gaining practical insights into communication, learner engagement and personal effectiveness.

One of the most engaging segments of the programme was the *Future Classroom Lab* Design Challenge. Working in teams, teachers were invited to reimagine the learning spaces of tomorrow by designing classrooms that incorporated four of the six learning zones—Investigate, Interact, Exchange, Create, Present, and Develop. The activity encouraged participants to move beyond traditional classroom layouts and envision environments that foster inquiry, collaboration, creativity, communication, and deeper student engagement. The innovative designs and lively discussions reflected a shared commitment to creating learning spaces that are responsive to the needs of twenty-first-century learners.

The session concluded on an inspiring note as participants reflected on their growth and embraced the qualities of a *VISA Educator* —one who is Visionary, Inclusive, Skilled and Adaptive. More than a professional development programme, the workshop served as an opportunity for educators to renew their commitment to lifelong learning and to shaping classrooms that prepare students not merely for examinations, but for life itself.

*International Day for Biodiversity*

_“From the tiniest microorganism to the tallest tree, every form of life plays a role in sustaining the balance of our planet.”_

Today, as we observe the International Day for Biodiversity on 22 May 2026, let each of us pause and reflect on the importance of protecting the rich variety of life around us — the plants, animals and ecosystems that together form our biodiversity. Human well-being and a healthy future depend greatly on the survival and balance of these natural systems.

As members of the Little Flower School community, let us encourage our children to grow with respect and responsibility towards nature — by protecting trees, caring for animals, avoiding waste, reducing pollution and understanding that every living organism has value and purpose in creation.

Small acts of care today can help preserve the beauty and balance of the world for future generations.

*LFS SUMMER CAMP*

For one week, the rhythm of Little Flower School shifted from routine classrooms to courts, fields and training sessions, as nearly 200 students from Classes I to VIII participated in the LFS Summer Camp held from 11 May 2026 to 16 May 2026.

The camp brought together students with varied interests and introduced them to structured training in different sporting disciplines under specialised coaches. *Cricket* sessions were conducted by _Mr. Devraj Sarkar_ , *Football* by _Mr. Ajay Lohar_ , *Handball* by _Mr. Y. Sanjay_ , *Badminton* by _Mr. Birender Kumar Mishra,_ *Basketball* by _Mr. Raja Sokhi_ and *Chess* by _Mr. Anirudh Sahu._

Across courts, fields and practice sessions, students engaged not only with the technical foundations of their chosen sport, but also with the values that accompany it — focus, resilience, teamwork and consistency. The atmosphere throughout the week reflected enthusiasm balanced with discipline, allowing students to learn through participation, practice and guided mentorship.

The school’s PT teachers played a vital role in the smooth conduct of the programme, coordinating the sessions and supporting students throughout the camp.

By the end of the camp, students carried back more than basic sporting knowledge. They left with greater confidence, sharper focus and a deeper appreciation for teamwork, perseverance and structured training — qualities that extend far beyond sport itself.

*From Concepts to Comprehension*

_Physics - Class VI_

How does a classroom concept transform into real understanding?

At Little Flower School, students experience this transition through learning that is interactive, investigative and application-oriented.
As part of their Physics curriculum, students of class VI explored the *concept of finding the area of an irregular lamina using graph paper.* By tracing figures, estimating measurements and analysing patterns through systematic calculation, students engaged with the topic in a practical and thought-provoking manner.

The exercise encouraged learners to _move beyond textbook definitions_ and _apply theoretical concepts_ through _observation and reasoning_ . In the process, they strengthened important academic skills such as _logical thinking, precision, analytical ability and problem-solving,_ while also developing patience and scientific temperament.

Such enriching classroom experiences reflect the _school’s commitment to experiential learning,_ where students are encouraged to question, explore and understand concepts deeply rather than simply memorise them.
