LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India) has come up with the recruitment notification for Apprentice Development Officers (ADO).This nationalized company needs no introduction as it has been serving millions of Indians for more than 50 years.The public sector insurance company operates across various zones in India & has branch offices all over the country.



The ADO job openings are a very good opportunity for youngsters who are willing to enter the booming insurance sector & build a career in a govt. company



This is an independent recruitment by LIC & hence you DON’T require IBPS exam scores.So anyone who has not appeared for IBPS bank exams can apply for these vacancies.



Vacancies & Payscale
Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) – 5066 posts (across 8 zones)

Applicants have to apply for any 1 zone & any 1 division with that specific region only.



Initially ADO`s shall be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.23,836 during their apprentice period.



On successful completion of apprenticeship, you would be appointed as Probationary Development Officer with total emoluments of approx. Rs.26,736/ month in addition to other benefits such as pension, gratuity, medical insurance, incentives & allowances.

Online test tentatively scheduled to be conducted on July 19 & 25th



Who are Eligible?
There aren't many conditions specified by LIC for eligibility.They have kept it simple,

Aged between 21 – 30 years as on June 1 , 2015 (max. age is sc/st:35 & 33 for obc)
Must have completed degree (preference shall be given for candidates with MBA marketing or PG diploma in marketing)
LIC agents & Employees currently working with LIC are also eligible
Though experience is not compulsory, applicants (except LIC employees & agents) with min.2 yrs exp.in insurance field will be given preference.



Selection Process:
An online objective test of 2 hrs duration will be conducted in three papers –

Paper I: Test of Reasoning & Numerical Ability
Paper II: G.K,Current affairs & English language
Paper III: Insurance and Financial Marketing Awareness
It is necessary to pass in each paper & also secure minimum total marks (set by LIC after exam) to qualify for personal interviews.

Work Profile:
A candidate chosen for Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) job in LIC will have to impart but not limited to the following duties,

Recruit agents, train them in selling life insurance products & supervise their performance
To increase the sales made by these agents by providing necessary training
Provide after sales support to policyholders (such as helping them make ontime payments, renewals, claims etc)
Travel within the allotted area
Service Bond: Selected individuals are to execute a bond at the time of joining agreeing to stay with LIC for 4 years or pay Rs.25000 incase of quitting the company.

Dear Candidates,

IBPS has released the tentative calendar of examination for CWE -V and CWE-V for participating organizations.

Also, IBPS has changed the common written exam pattern for the post of PO and Clerks this year.

Changes in the Exam Pattern of PSBs - CWE PO/MT-V and CWE CLERK-V

Note: I. It has been decided by the competent authority to hold two-tier examinations for recruitment of PO/MT and Clerks from CWE-V onwards.

II. All the candidates who successfully register themselves under CWE PO/MT-V and CWE CLERK-V will be called for Preliminary Examinations.

III. Based on the performance in the preliminary examination, certain number of candidates will be shortlisted for each of these examinations.

IV. The short listed candidates will then be called for Main Examinations. There will be fewer number of questions in the Preliminary Examination with shorter duration.

V. The details with regard to both the Preliminary and Main examinations will be made available on IBPS website through the detailed notifications in due course.

VI. The marks obtained in the Preliminary examination will not be considered for preparing the final merit list and the marks obtained in the Main Examination will only be considered for short listing for interview.

IBPS is all set to conduct Regional Rural Banks (RRB) common written exam 2014.

Big news awaits all those waiting for bank jobs in 2014 as the complete exam timetable has been released by IBPS.With the introduction of common recruitment procedure by IBPS, a candidate has to just appear for one exam & interview making him eligible for jobs in any of the 20 public sector banks across India.

Gone are the days when state owned banks conducted separate recruitments for posts in their organization.

If you are aspiring to become a Probationary Officer (PO), Clerk or Specialist Officer in any PSB, then you are sure to have come across this word – IBPS.It stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) which is responsible for conducting the selection exercise for these positions.

It’s Exam Time from September!!

Looking at the table, one can easily attribute the latter half of 2014 completely to banking exams.

The common written examination for Officers (scale I,II & III) & Office Assistants in RRB runs throughout September.

Testing for PO & Clerical cadres are to happen during October/November and December respectively.With a gap of 1 month, IBPS will organize specialist officer cwe in February 2015.

How Many Vacancies?

IBPS normally the releases the vacancy list for PO IV, Clerk IV & Specialist officers IV only after publication of exam results.So you won’t be able to get the exact no. of bank jobs in 2015-16 at this point of time.

But just like previous years public sector banks may stick to the same range which is :

PO – around 18,000 to 20,000
Clerk – around 20,000 to 30,0000
