“ A Journey to Remember - Sikkim Excursion 2026 ”

The six-day school excursion organised by Hill Top School to the beautiful hills of Sikkim from 9th May to 15th May 2026 was one of the most memorable experiences of the students of Grade IX. The exciting journey began from Tatanagar to Gangtok and later to Pelling, where every day brought new adventures, laughter and unforgettable memories.

This wonderful excursion was possible because of the thoughtful initiative and encouragement of our respected Principal Mrs Uma Tiwary, whose vision was to provide students with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and experience the beauty, culture and togetherness that travel teaches.

From the lively streets of MG Marg and the peaceful monasteries to the breathtaking beauty of Tsomgo Lake, Nathu La Pass, Temi Tea Garden and the magnificent view of Mount Kanchenjunga, every destination left everyone spellbound. The fun-filled bus journeys, shopping with friends, DJ night, ropeway ride and scenic landscapes made the excursion even more special.

The trip became successful and enjoyable because of the constant care, patience, and guidance of our respected teachers — Mrs Geetha Sunil, Mr Rizwan Khan, Mrs Shipra Khandai and Mr Amar Mukhi — who ensured the safety and comfort of our children throughout the journey.

More than just a vacation, this excursion taught them important lessons of discipline, cooperation, responsibility, friendship and respect for nature and different cultures. It strengthened the bond among students and teachers and helped them become more confident, independent and caring individuals.

Hill Top School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Master Sannidhya Sarkar of Class XII (Commerce), who was felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner at the District Level Pratibha Samman Ceremony organized by the Jharkhand Education Project, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur.

Sannidhya was honoured for his outstanding academic excellence and exceptional performance in the ISC Board Examination 2026. He received a certificate of appreciation, medal and memento in recognition of his hard work, dedication and perseverance.

"Orators of Tomorrow in Action” – English Elocution Competition 2026

Hill Top School came alive with confidence and eloquence on 6th May 2026 as it hosted the English Elocution Competition. The event transformed the school hall into a stage of powerful expression where young speakers stepped forward to share their thoughts with poise and passion.

The competition began with an inspiring introduction, setting the tone for a day filled with articulate voices and compelling ideas. Participants showcased their oratory skills on a variety of topics, captivating the audience with their fluency, pronunciation and expressive delivery. Their performances reflected not only strong language skills but also thoughtful preparation and stage confidence.

A distinguished panel of judges observed the participants keenly, evaluating them on content, expression, voice modulation and overall presentation. The audience, comprising students and teachers, remained attentive and encouraging throughout creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.

The event was not just a competition but a platform for young learners to overcome stage fear, build confidence and develop effective communication skills. Each participant left a lasting impression, making it a tough task for the judges to select the winners.

The competition concluded with words of appreciation for all participants. The event truly highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence in communication and inspiring them to speak with confidence and express themselves with clarity and conviction.

CAMP KALEIDOSCOPE 2026 – DAY 3 FINALE
A Wonderful Blend of Fitness, Creativity and Music

The final day of Camp Kaleidoscope 2026 at Hill Top School began with energetic Games and Exercise Sessions where students enthusiastically participated in sports activities, physical exercises and Taekwondo practice. The morning was filled with enthusiasm, discipline and teamwork as students enjoyed outdoor games and fitness activities that promoted confidence, coordination and sportsmanship.

The excitement continued with engaging Music Sessions including keyboard workshops, choral singing and band rehearsals. Students showcased their musical talent with great confidence under the guidance of their instructors.

The Art and Craft activities added colour and creativity to the day. Students explored their artistic skills through rock painting, mask making and mosaic art. Their imaginative creations reflected patience, originality and dedication making the activity both enjoyable and inspiring.

The camp flourished under the Principal’s constant encouragement and watchful eye ensuring that every activity was conducted smoothly and meaningfully. The sincere efforts of the coordinators, teachers and instructors and the active participation of the students made the three-day summer camp a grand success and a memorable learning experience for all.

*Camp Kaleidoscope – Day 2 Highlights* 🎨🎶🏀
Day 2 of Camp Kaleidoscope at Hill Top School was filled with creativity, rhythm, energy and teamwork as students enthusiastically explored their talents through Art & Craft, Music and Sports activities.

The Art & Craft sessions brought out the young artists within the students. From beautiful Warli paintings and creative embossing art to vibrant group creations, every activity reflected imagination, patience and artistic expression. The students enjoyed experimenting with colours and designs while proudly showcasing their handmade creations.

The Music sessions echoed with melody and excitement as students learned their first keyboard chords, practised guitar duets and participated in mentorship sessions with instructors. The budding musicians confidently presented their progress during the camp band debut, displaying teamwork, coordination and a growing passion for music.

The Sports & Games activities added enthusiasm and energy to the day. Students actively participated in volleyball, basketball, meditation exercises and Taekwondo training sessions. The activities promoted fitness, focus, discipline, balance and the spirit of teamwork among the campers.

Day 2 was truly a joyful blend of learning and fun where every child got an opportunity to explore new skills, build confidence and create wonderful memories.

*Camp Kaleidoscope Begins with Colours of Creativity at Hill Top School*

The much-awaited three-day Summer Camp, Camp Kaleidoscope, began with great enthusiasm and excitement. The camp was formally inaugurated by the Principal, along with the Coordinators marking the beginning of a joyful journey filled with creativity, learning and fun.

The programme commenced with the school prayer and a melodious prayer song, creating a serene and positive atmosphere. Principal Mrs Uma Tiwary officially declared the Summer Camp open and encouraged the students to explore their talents, learn new skills and participate wholeheartedly in every activity planned for the camp. The Coordinators also inspired the students to enjoy the spirit of teamwork, creativity and joyful learning.

The venue came alive with colourful decorations and creative displays that beautifully reflected the vibrant spirit of the camp. Students enthusiastically participated in a wide variety of engaging activities under different categories.

The Art and Craft sessions included bookmark making, craft from waste, flower vase decoration, drawing and other creative art activities, where students showcased their imagination and artistic flair through colourful creations.

The Sports activities featured Basketball, Volleyball, Kho Kho, Chess and Taekwondo. Students displayed remarkable energy, enthusiasm, discipline and sportsmanship while actively participating in the games and physical activities.

The Music section included both Vocal and Instrumental sessions where students explored their musical talents and filled the surroundings with rhythm and melody.
The classrooms and activity areas buzzed with excitement as young learners immersed themselves in fun-filled and enriching experiences.

Investiture Ceremony at Hill Top School

Under the inspiring leadership of Principal Mrs. Uma Tiwary, Hill Top School proudly hosted its Investiture Ceremony, a momentous occasion that celebrated the spirit of leadership, responsibility and service among its young torchbearers.

The ceremony witnessed the formal investiture of the President, Vice President, Safety Coordinators and Discipline Coordinators from Classes XI and XII, along with the House Captains, Vice Captains and Coordinators from Classes IX and X. As each student leader was adorned with badges and sashes symbolising trust and accountability, the atmosphere was filled with pride, purpose and promise.

Taking their solemn oath, the newly elected council members pledged to uphold the values and ethos of the institution with integrity, dedication and unwavering commitment. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder that true leadership is not about authority, but about inspiring others through service, empathy and exemplary conduct.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Mrs. Uma Tiwary encouraged the students to lead with courage, humility and conviction, inspiring them to become role models who will shape the future of the school community.

🌟 CLASS 5 BAGLESS DAY – A Celebration of Creativity & Learning Beyond Books! 🌟

The corridors of Class 5 came alive with innovation, imagination and joyful learning during the much-awaited Bagless Day! Each section showcased their unique talents through engaging activities that blended creativity with knowledge.

✒️ Class 5 A impressed everyone with their beautifully presented Diamante Poems, reflecting rich vocabulary and excellent language skills.

🌺 Class 5 B explored the wonders of nature by identifying the parts of a Hibiscus Flower and displayed remarkable creativity through their Best Out of Waste craft activities.

💐Class 5 C paid a heartfelt tribute to Rabindranath Tagore with an informative and inspiring presentation on his birth anniversary, celebrating his timeless contribution to literature and culture.

💧 Class 5 D raised awareness on environmental conservation by preparing impactful “Save Water” slogan posters, spreading the message of responsible water usage in a creative way.

🏆Class 5 E showcased their dreams and aspirations through colourful Vision Boards, creatively illustrating their future goals and ambitions on charts.

The success of the day was made possible through the dedicated guidance of the teachers and the sincere hard work, enthusiasm and creativity of the students. Their collective efforts turned every activity into a wonderful learning experience filled with confidence and joy.

The campus came alive with laughter, music, smiles and countless precious moments as students paid tribute to the women who fill their lives with endless love, strength and care. Through soulful performances, heartfelt messages, vibrant activities, and touching gestures, every child expressed gratitude to the first friend, first teacher and forever guide in their lives.
The celebration reflected the quiet sacrifices and unconditional affection of mothers who stand behind every achievement with unwavering faith and boundless encouragement.

The joy in the eyes of the mothers and the excitement on the faces of the children created an atmosphere filled with warmth and togetherness.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 5 - 10 who showcased their oratory skills with remarkable poise. The competition was conducted in a well-organized setting, with a panel of esteemed judges evaluating the participants on parameters such as pronunciation, expression, content, and overall presentation.

Each participant spoke with confidence, reflecting thorough preparation and a deep understanding of their topics. The audience, comprising students and teachers, listened attentively encouraging the speakers with their presence.
