RVS College of Engineering and Technology, the brain child of Shri Binda Singh, Chairman of RVS Educational Trust was set up in the year 2004 in the Steel city, Jamshedpur, with a mission to provide higher education in the field of engineering to the under privileged at an affordable cost and means. The Academic Value is given an utmost importance with an aim to provide a comprehensive and contemporary engineering education. Ran Vijay Singh College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET), a unit of RVS Education Trust, Jamshedpur is an innovative institute committed to develop programmes designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the National and International arena. Binda Singh to pay a tribute to Late Sri Ran Vrjay Singh, a great thinker and social reformer with strong determination and commitment to foster a holistic approach towards the development of general and technical education as well as research and development to create a band of highly creative technocrats who will contribute in “Nation Building”. RVSCET is the First Private Engineering College in the industrial city of Jamshedpur. The college was inaugurated on 24.05.04 by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand in presence of the Minister for Human Resource Development. It is one of the best institute in private sector in the state dedicated specially to the people of Jharkhand to lead the state to prosperity through technical education and involvement for the cause of the society. The mission of the institute is to provide an excellent quality technical education coupled with activities to further enhance social and intellectual growth. This institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India in the year 2004 and subsequently by the Department of Science & Technology and Information Technology, Govt. It is affiliated to Kolhan University. The courses offered here are well designed in order to meet the need of global market. There are many industries in and around Jamshedpur city (including TISCO, TATA MOTORS etc.), the students will have enough opportunities to interact with the industries for training/ visit during their period of study.

Engineering Ideas. Innovation. Impact.

RVS College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur, celebrated Engineers’ Day with a vibrant programme celebrating innovation, technical excellence and the role of engineering in shaping a better society.

The programme was held under the chairmanship of Shri Binda Singh, Chairman, RVS Educational Trust; Shri Shatrughna Singh, Treasurer-cum-Director; Shri Santosh Kumar S., Senior General Manager, Brakes Operations Automotive Limited, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Sushant Bhattacharjee, Deputy General Manager, Brakes Operations Automotive Limited, was the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the students, Shri Santosh Kumar S. encouraged them to pursue innovative ideas and develop new technologies, emphasising that failures often become stepping stones towards success. Shri Sushant Bhattacharjee highlighted the importance of using technology to build an inclusive society.

Shri Shatrughna Singh emphasised that engineering goes beyond acquiring knowledge, it is about applying that knowledge meaningfully for the benefit of society.

Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Principal, underscored the importance of engineering skills and technological competence, noting that language barriers should never limit the pursuit of technical knowledge.

The celebrations continued with model presentations and various technical events, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.

The celebration reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, technical excellence and socially responsible engineering among the next generation of engineers.

🏑 Where Fitness Meets Focus!

The sixth day of the Induction Programme 2026 was dedicated to celebrating the spirit of sports and fitness on National Sports Day, commemorating the 121st birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

The programme was graced by Dr. Hasan Imam, Manager, Sports Department, Tata Steel and renowned international handball coach, who shared valuable insights on the role of sports in building a physically strong, mentally resilient and emotionally balanced personality.

A special Sports & Fitness Oath was administered to the students, inspiring them to make sports, yoga and physical activities a part of their daily lives.

Director Shri Shatrughna Singh also encouraged students to embrace sports as an integral part of their routine, highlighting how physical fitness contributes to better academic performance and overall well-being.

At RVS College, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom.

From “I have an idea” to “How do I fund it?” , the entrepreneurial journey has many questions.

Students at RVSCET got valuable answers through an insightful session on Angel Investment and VC Funding opportunities under the aegis of IIC.

The session by Mr. Amar Nath Singh, Director, Navachar Research Incubation and Innovation Council, was filled with practical insights and illustrative examples that brought the concepts of angel investment, venture capital, startup funding, and entrepreneurial growth to life.

The discussion went beyond theory, helping students understand how promising ideas can attract the right funding and evolve into sustainable ventures. The interactive exchange also encouraged students to look at entrepreneurship from a more practical and opportunity-oriented perspective.

A meaningful session, insightful conversations, and valuable takeaways for our aspiring entrepreneurs.
