I AM CORONA HEAR ME SPEAK
Mother nature was continually tortured.....tortured for food , tortured for land , tortured for air , tortured for your selfish being. Did you stop to care what she would have felt when you kept on launching missiles on her body? You plundered the flora and the fauna. Polluted her rivers. Set her forests on fire. Over excavated her for minerals and left her in a condition that was beyond repair.
I could not see her like this. I had to come , I had to come to teach a lesson that Humans have long forgotten. You did not hear me come because you were chaotic inside out. I took your lives to give a better life for the generations to come because they deserve fresh air , unburnt forests they have all the right in the world to claim for clean water , lush fields, healthy food and a natural environment rather than this polluted artificial ambience. You know what reinforcements I've done to my mother earth?
Swans have returned to the canals of Venice. The Amazon is self rejuvenating. 70 percent of the world rivers have been cleansed. Ozone layer is healing its scars. Dolphins from south Asia are returning to the ghats of Kolkata. Wildlife is lost in the music of revival. Nature is on a holiday with her friends. You can win against me if you stay United. You can win over me if you remain empathetic and compassionate. Promise me that you'll take care of this world the way it cares for you and pass on a world worth living to the generations to come a world that they deserve. Promise me to play your part or else I'll send my pal to compensate. I am Corona, hear me speak.

UNINTENDED CHANGE
TODAY, WHEN THE QUESTION OF SUSTAINING THIS PLANET ARISES, PEOPLE ARE IN THE HALLUCINATION OF COLONIZING A DIFFERENT PLANET. IS THAT SO FACILE AND UNCOMPLICATED TO DECAMP EARTH AND HAVE A MASS COLONIZATION ?
NO! THE FOREMOST ALTERNATIVE WE ARE CURRENTLY LEFT WITH IS SUSTAINING AND EXTENUATING WHAT WE HAVE FOR OUR PROGENY.
IT COSTS 38 TRILLION DOLLARS TO CREATE OXYGEN FOR 7 BILLION PEOPLE FOR A TIME SPAN OF 6 SHORT MONTHS. AND ABOVE THIS THE TREES DO IT FOR NOTHING, THEN WHY ARE WE BEING THE REASON FOR THEIR DEMOLITION? THESE ARE A FEW QUESTIONS TOSSING IN MY M8ND.
IN FACT THIS ACTION OF OURS IS INDIRECTLY MAKING US THE MENACE OF MANKIND. NATURE DID NOT CREATED US BRISK AND BRIGHT THAN THE OTHER EXISTING CREATURES TO BE A THREAT TO THEM BUT WE HUMANS, WERE CREATED TO LIVE OUR OWN SYSTEMATIC LIFE, ISN’T IT ?
THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES OF THIS CHANGED LIFESTYLE, HUMANS HAVE CREATED NEW SURVIVAL CHALLENGES NOT ONLY FOR THEMSELVES BUT OTHER SPECIES AS WELL. NOT ONLY THIS SOME OF THE MARVELLOUS SPECIES EXIST ONLY IN OUR TEXTBOOKS AND STAY CAPTURED IN THE IMAGES.
MANY MALADIES WERE SPREAD EARLIER AMONG WHICH SOME WERE COMMUNICABLE TOO, BEING TRANSMITTED BY VECTORS SUCH AS MOSQUITOES AND FLIES. BUT TODAY’S DILEMMA IS DIFFERENT MAKING THE HUMANS VECTOR.
IF COVID-19 TAUGHT US NOTHING ELSE IT TAUGHT US CLEANLINESS WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN BURIED IN OUR MINDS, AND IMPROVISE OUR DIET AND LIFE STYLE WHICH WAS CUT DOWN TO JUNK FOOD WITH ENGAGED SLOTS. IT TAUGHT US THAT BEFORE TRYING TO DETRIMENT NATURE WE MUST NOT FORGET THAT NATURE IS OMNIPOTENT AND ALL-POWERFUL.
WITH THIS, I SRISTI RAJ WOULD REQUEST YOU ALL TO SUSTAIN AND MAINTAIN OUR BEAUTIFUL NATURE AND ENJOY TO FULLEST.
Greetings dear readers.
Hope you're quarantining yourselves, if not please do, it's necessary for
humanity right now.
We recently observed Earth day with the theme of Climate Action and as
earthday.org put it,"The enormous challenge — but also the vast
opportunities — of action on climate change have distinguished the issue
as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary."
As always, dozens of prominent figures from all over the world sent out
their messages but this time via social media and in order to follow social
distancing several rallies were called off round the globe. But nothing could
bring down our Environment enthusiasts from showing their concern for the
future of the blue planet.
No species has ever eradicated another except Homo sapiens. The way we
eliminated the Dodos and Passenger Pigeon shows nothing but our
command on the physical world and its beings. We directly or indirectly
depend on every plant and animal species of the planet. If polar bears were
to go extinct, the population of walruses, seals, whales, reindeer, rodents
and birds would increase and get out of control.Since seals create
breathing holes, in a very less time this will break up the ice and split the
arctic circle consequences of which may be severe than most people
imagine.
Thunberg, who helped inspire millions of youth activists with her Fridays
For Future school strikes, tweeted: “Every day is . The changes
needed to safeguard future living conditions for all species won’t come from
governments or businesses. It will come from the best available science
and public opinion. So it’s up to us. Spread the science.
”. Several million activists form several different
countries joined hands -virtually- over twitter under pivoting over
72 hours of digital action. Jane Fonda, Joaquin Phoenix and Al Gore are among the stars who spoke on the ongoing climate crisis, alongside
leading scientists and journalists.
The current situation, as multiple environmentalists put it, has proved to be
boon for the environment. Correspondingly, the air pollution over Delhi and
Noida has appeared to fade to such extents that residents are tweeting that
they can see Burj Khalifa from their terrace. The effect of environmental
restoration have been felt over our city Jamshedpur as well as the frequent
and continuous showers during this time of year has left the residents in a
dilemma of surprise and relief.
The lockdown has prevailed for over a month now and as much as we
appreciate the Government's decision, it has started to take its toll on us,
especially on me as I've started to fully dress-up for my online classes
wherein I don't even have to show my face.
If the lockdown were a
medicine here's what would have been inscribed on the bottle: Side effects
may include excessive maquillage-so much that your family lives in a
constant fear of a familiar stranger in their house as they don't recognise
you anymore-or watching people eat on YouTube since you can't or the
MCD(Master Chef Disorder) where you try to cook things that you know
you can't.
Anyways, if you're as bored as I was, here are the top 7 things I did that
kept me going and might inspire you in your quarantine:
1. Yoga: Since you can't go out for a good ol' jog, try to wake up super
early in the morning and have a fun time with Ramdev Baba!
2. Morning Pages: Try to do solid three pages of writing every morning to
sort your thoughts for the rest of the day
3. Study: Yes,kids. School ain't over yet.If your phone is a distraction for
you, download the Forest app where you plant a virtual sapling for a slot of
time in between which, if you exit the app your tree shall die but if you're
consistent and focused, you'll be rewarded coins that you can use to plant
actual tree around the world! (You can do this with your friends,too;
PaigeY, YouTuber has started her own room on the app for us loners, so
check her YouTube channel() if you're interested)
And for students of 10.5 and 13th grade: I wish you well.
4. Write: Start a novel or write a short story.Who knows you might be the
next J.K. Rowling or G.R.R. Martin!
5. Family time: Play 'Never Have I Ever' with your folks or just ask your
grandparents to recite an interesting anecdote from their days. I'm sure you
will discover pretty interesting things about them.
6. Video chats: Plan play or study dates with your friends.Great way to
stay productive and in touch(but six feet apart!)
7. Read: A change in the reading genre is advised.
I used to read fiction all the time but this time I've switched to non-fiction
and mythology and believe me when I say it's life changing.(Homo Deus by
Yuval Noah Harari is what I would recommend. Besides, you can easily
download Amazon Kindle apps and purchase books for real cheap!)
That's all for now.
Stay Green.Stay Curious.
Stay home and stay safe.
