Earth Day🍀🌍 Celebrations at Shemrock Elites School Newplot.
In a heartfelt endeavour to foster environmental awareness and instil a sense of responsibility among young learners, Shemrock Elites School celebrated Earth Day🌍 on 24th April 2026 through a series of vibrant, purposeful, and thoughtfully curated activities ❤ across all classes. Each initiative was designed to nurture a deep-rooted reverence for nature and inspire sustainable habits from an early age.
The day commenced with a special assembly🛐 conducted by the staff on the theme of Earth Day. The CBSE pledge was solemnly administered and gracefully affirmed under the guidance of the esteemed Principal, Ms.Neerja Koul, reinforcing the core values of discipline, integrity, responsibility, and conscientious citizenship. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, who eloquently reinforced the spirit of Earth Day, encouraging students to internalize their role as responsible custodians of the planet.🌍

YELLOW DAY AND BAISAKHI CELEBRATION.
Shades of yellow stimulates our little ones with happiness, energy and optimism…….”
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, Our Shem Stars celebrated “Yellow day” & BAISAKHI on 13th April 2026.
A day dedicated to the yellow colour & Baisakhi was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!
Attractive yellow coloured toys like racing cars, teddy bears, dolls, balls, balloons, flying discs, flowers and masks made the learning environment active and sporty. The children enjoyed the activity and were very happy. The teachers were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators described the yellow objects with expressiveness, flair and ease.
To make the children understand about the significance of yellow colour, various colorful activities were conducted in a lively, vibrant and high spirited environment.
Cheerful Children attired in yellow outfits were sparkling with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Beams of yellow shades carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.
The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.
