Yesterday, the Communist Party of India (CPI) held a protest at the Press Club in Jammu, demanding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. The protest was led by CPI State Secretary com. Ghulam Mohammad Mizrab and National Council member com. Rakesh Sharma.
During the protest, the Communist Party of India (CPI) reiterated its demand that the commitment made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah be fulfilled. The Prime Minister and Home Minister had assured that after the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, statehood would be restored immediately. However, even after six months since the elections, this promise remains unfulfilled. The CPI questioned why the government was going back on its word and urged for the swift restoration of statehood so that governance and development issues in the region could be addressed effectively.

Today, the All India Student Federation (AISF) held an important meeting in Jammu district. The meeting was attended by senior leader Rakesh Kumar, AISF State President Sanjay Kotwal, and other prominent leaders of AISF, including Zulfiqar Khan, Pervez Ahmed, Dhara Singh, Mudassar Ahmed, Naik Mohammad, and Qadeer Choudhary. During the session, they reviewed the current state of AISF activities in Jammu and Kashmir and discussed plans for upcoming programs and initiatives.

Today, AISF state President Jammu and Kashmir com. Sanjay Kotwal met former AISF leader and the current National General Secretary of the Communist Party of India, Comrade D.
