Annual Day Celebration “Umang” at The Calliope School Doomi Akhnoor.

The Annual Day Celebration “Umang” was celebrated at The Calliope School with great joy, enthusiasm and fervour. The campus wore a festive look as students, parents, and guests gathered to witness a spectacular showcase of talent and achievement.
The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Randheer Singh, SSP CID Jammu, whose distinguished presence added grandeur to the occasion. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Prithi Pal Singh, National Level Coach of Hockey and Skating, and special guest Sardar Avatar Singh, Sarpanch, also honoured the event with their presence. The celebration was further enriched by the gracious presence of Dr. Aruna Suri (Ex-Professor, Jammu University) and Mr.Kuldip Singh Jamwal ( Vice President Zabarwan Infratech pvt.ltd working for National Highway Authority of India.
The event commenced with a warm and inspiring Welcome Address by Ms. Rama Jamwal, Director Academics, who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries and appreciated the collective efforts of students and staff.
The Annual Report was presented by Mrs. Amrita Sharma, Principal, highlighting the remarkable academic achievements, co-curricular accomplishments, and overall progress of the school throughout the year.
The cultural programme was a vibrant blend of colourful dances and captivating performances that mesmerized the audience. The confidence, coordination, and creativity displayed by the students earned loud applause and admiration from everyone present.
A grand prize distribution ceremony was conducted to honour the winners of various academic and co-curricular activities. The dignitaries felicitated the achievers and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
In their address, the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour highly appreciated the efforts of the school management, teachers, and students. They lauded the school for providing a holistic platform that nurtures talent, discipline, and values. They showered praises on the remarkable performances and the overall organization of the event.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. S. P. Suri, Director (Dean and Ex-Professor, Jammu University), who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, staff, and students for making “Umang” a grand success.
