Mr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal, Model Academy, and a distinguished educationist, participated as a panellist in a thought-provoking educational leadership dialogue on the theme “Learning Outcomes to Lifelong Excellence: Empowering Learners with Skills for Tomorrow”, held at Vivanta Jammu City Centre on June 11, 2026.
Organised by HGS Jammu, the event brought together eminent educators, school leaders, academicians, and thought leaders from across the region to deliberate on the future of education and the evolving needs of learners in the 21st century.
During the panel discussion, Mr. Srivastava underscored the importance of aligning learning outcomes with real-life competencies. Model Academy Holds Parent-Teacher Meeting, Strengthening School-Parent Partnership
Model Academy organised a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM)on 6th June 2026, for classes 1 to 12, to foster meaningful interaction between parents and teachers and discuss the academic progress and holistic development of students.
The meeting provided an opportunity for parents to receive detailed feedback on their children's performance, strengths, and areas for improvement. Teachers and parents engaged in constructive discussions aimed at supporting students in achieving their full potential.

Model Academy School Donates Desks to Government Primary School, Chak Avtara, Bishnah
As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community outreach, and in celebration of its 90th year, Model Academy School, in collaboration with the Extension Unit of MIER College of Education (Autonomous), organized a desk donation programme at Government Primary School, Chak Avtara, Bishnah, on 5th June 2026.
The initiative was undertaken with the objective of strengthening the educational infrastructure of the school and creating a more conducive learning environment for students. Under this programme, desks were donated to Government Primary School, Chak Avtara, to improve classroom facilities and support students in their academic pursuits.
The school authorities, teachers, and students of Government Primary School expressed their sincere gratitude to Model Academy School and MIER College of Education for this generous contribution. They appreciated the institutions’ commitment towards supporting government schools and addressing their infrastructural needs. Model Academy Observes World Environment Day with Cleanliness Drive
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the school organised a Cleanliness Drive on 5th June 2026 to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible civic behaviour among students.
Led by the Eco Club, a group of 20 students, accompanied by the Principal and Vice Principal, actively participated in cleaning the road outside the school premises. Through their collective efforts, they spread the message that a clean environment is essential for a healthy and sustainable future.
The drive aimed to instil a sense of environmental responsibility among students and encourage them to become active contributors to community welfare. The participants enthusiastically removed litter and demonstrated their commitment to preserving the environment through meaningful action.
Addressing the students, the Principal emphasised that environmental conservation begins with individual responsibility and collective effort. He remarked that as Model Academy celebrates its 90th year, it continues to uphold its tradition of fostering not only academic excellence but also social and environmental awareness.

A CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills (Advanced) was successfully conducted at SOS Hermann Gmeiner School School, with the participation of 60 educators. The programme aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of the vital role life skills play in fostering the holistic development of students and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Isha Sharma, Vice Principal, Model Academy, Jammu, who served as the Resource Person for the programme along with co- resource person Ms Anupama, PGT AI, Jammu Sanskriti School on 23 May 2026.Through a series of interactive discussions, reflective activities, collaborative group tasks, and experiential learning exercises, participants explored the significance of life skills such as empathy, resilience, communication, responsibility, self-awareness, decision-making, and emotional well-being.
The workshop emphasized the integration of life skills into everyday classroom practices and highlighted their impact on academic achievement, workforce readiness, positive relationships, and responsible citizenship. Teachers actively engaged in meaningful dialogue on contemporary educational challenges and deliberated on effective strategies to nurture socially and emotionally competent learners.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among educators to create learning environments that not only promote academic excellence but also support the development of confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals. *Model Academy Supports J&K Lieutenant Governor’s 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign*
As part of the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir’s 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, Model Academy organised an awareness programme to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The session was conducted by Mr. Rakesh Singh from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, who delivered an insightful presentation and counselling session on the harmful effects of drugs and alcoholism. He encouraged students to make informed choices and play an active role in creating a drug-free society.
A highlight of the programme was the pledge ceremony, where students collectively resolved to support the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and spread awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse.
The initiative reflected Model Academy’s proud 90-year legacy of nurturing responsible and socially conscious citizens. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the resource person and urged students to uphold the values of discipline, responsibility, and healthy living.

Model Academy Hosts Student Development and Mentorship Session with Distinguished Alumnus Colonel Dheeraj Singh Jamwal
As part of its 90-year celebrations, Model Academy organized a special Student Development and Mentorship Initiative featuring Colonel Dheeraj Singh Jamwal (Retd.), Co-founder and CEO of Ekadyu Foundation and a proud alumnus of the school from the Class of 1987.
The session was designed to motivate students to develop a focused mindset, cultivate discipline and resilience, and explore opportunities in the Armed Forces.
Addressing the students, Colonel Jamwal shared insights from his distinguished career of over three decades in the Indian Army. Drawing from his experiences, he emphasized the importance of perseverance, self-discipline, leadership, and clarity of purpose in achieving success. He encouraged students to dream big, remain committed to their goals, and embrace challenges with confidence.
Colonel Jamwal also spoke about the mission of the Ekadyu Foundation, which works towards inspiring and mentoring youth while promoting their physical, mental, and emotional development. His interaction provided students with valuable guidance on personal growth, nation-building, and service to society.

As part of its 90-year celebrations, Model Academy organized a two-day Filmmaking Workshop on June 1 and 2 for students of Classes XI and XII in collaboration with AVD Motion Pictures, founded by distinguished alumnus Mr. Atul Duggal, with Digitek as the Official Technology Partner.
The workshop provided students with valuable exposure to the creative and technical dimensions of filmmaking through expert-led sessions and hands-on learning experiences.
Day one featured engaging sessions by Mr. Atul Duggal, along with Ms. Prasidhi. The sessions introduced students to the fundamentals of filmmaking, storytelling, and visual narrative creation. Mr. Duggal’s interaction was particularly inspiring, as he shared his professional journey and highlighted how dreams nurtured within the institution can evolve into successful careers.
On the second day, participants gained practical experience through an intensive session conducted by the Digitek team, where they explored professional cameras, lenses, and filmmaking equipment. This was followed by an insightful workshop on lighting techniques and technical ex*****on, helping students understand the art and science behind cinematic storytelling.
The workshop concluded with a felicitation ceremony, during which mementos were presented to the resource persons and collaborators by Dr. Adit Gupta, Director, MIER; Ms. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, MIER; Mr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal; and Ms. Isha Sharma, Vice Principal, in recognition of their valuable contributions.

Principal of Model Academy Conducts CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills
Mr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal, Model Academy, Jammu, was invited by CBSE as a Resource Person to conduct an In-House Capacity Building Programme on “Life Skills” at Army Public School, Jammu Cantt, on 20th May 2026.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 100 teachers who actively engaged in discussions, group activities, and reflective exercises centred on the importance of life skills in contemporary education.
