Gandhi Memorial College Conducts Counselling Session
Jammu, May 30, 2026: Gandhi Memorial College, Jammu organized a counselling session for students to help them in career building and personal development. The programme started with the National Anthem and was attended by Commander Naveen Pandita and Professor A.N. Sadhu as chief guests.
After the bouquet presentation and lighting of the traditional lamp, General Secretary HESK, Prof. Virender Rawal, highlighted the importance of counselling and how it helps students make better career choices.
A documentary on the life and achievements of Commander Naveen Pandita, who has more than 30 years of experience in the Naval and aviation sectors, was shown. During the session, Commander Naveen Pandita shared useful information about career building, career opportunities in the aviation sector, and the importance of hard work, patience, and positive thinking to achieve success.
Students from Vishwabharti Public Higher Secondary School and Neelkamal High School actively participated in the interactive session and asked thoughtful questions. Professor A.N. Sadhu appreciated the programme and praised Commander Naveen Pandita for sharing his valuable experiences and guidance with the students.
President HESK, Prof. B.L. Zutshi, congratulated the students for gaining useful knowledge about career building and appreciated the active participation of girl students from both schools. Principal Prof. Satish Talashi delivered the vote of thanks and thanked the guests and everyone present.
Other distinguished guests and prominent members present during the event included Virender Raina (Executive Body Member), Sh. Sundari Lal Koul, Roshan Lal Pandita from KP Volunteers, and Dilip Pandita, whose presence added value to the occasion.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Pradeep Pandita and anchored by Ms. Honey Sharma. Faculty members present during the session included Mrs. Meenu Khazanchi, Mrs. Seema Bhat, Mrs. Hema Koul, Ms. Meenakshi Safaya, Ms. Komal Chib, Mr. Ankit Zaroo, Kaka Ji Bhat, Chandrika Wattal, Kamal Zutshi, and Veeru Kirtan.
