๐Ÿ“ข SCERT Jammu Conducts 10-Day Workshop on Lesson Plan Development for Shikshak Shayak Chatbot
SCERT, Divisional Office Jammu, successfully organized a 10-day workshop on the Development of Lesson Plans for the Shikshak Shayak Chatbot (Grades 1โ€“8) from 6th March to 18th March 2026 (except holidays).
The workshop is conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary (JKAS), Director SCERT J&K, and the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Jammu Division, the workshop marked a significant step towards integrating technology with pedagogy.
โœจ The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by a concept note outlining the vision and objectives of the initiative.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from subject experts, teachers, and curriculum specialists who collaboratively developed competency-based lesson plans for:
โ€ข English (Classes 1โ€“5)
โ€ข Mathematics (Classes 1โ€“5)
โ€ข EVS (Classes 3โ€“5)
โ€ข Hindi (Classes 1โ€“8)
๐Ÿ“˜ These lesson plans are aligned with:
โ€ข SCERT curriculum & JKBOSE textbooks
โ€ข NEP 2020 and NCF-FS 2022
โ€ข Focus on activity-based, learner-centred teaching
๐Ÿ’ก Key highlights included:
โ€ข Integration of experiential learning & inclusivity
โ€ข Focus on formative assessment and teacher reflection
โ€ข Incorporation of art, values, and environmental awareness
The lesson plans underwent rigorous peer review and expert validation and will soon be integrated into the Shikshak Shayak Chatbot, empowering teachers with structured instructional support.
๐Ÿ‘ The programme was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Balgar Singh, with support from the organizing team and overall supervision by Ms. Arti Gupta, Assistant Professor.
๐ŸŽ“ The workshop concluded with a valedictory session where the Worthy Joint Director appreciated the dedication of all participants and encouraged continued contributions towards enhancing the quality of school education.

SCERT J&K Signs MoU with Bharti Airtel Foundation for Life Skills Curriculum Development and Implementation

SCERT J&K, Jammu Division proudly felicitated Ms. Chahat, student of Army Public School, Janglote (Kathua), on her remarkable selection for the 9th Edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, a flagship initiative of the Honโ€™ble Prime Minister of India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

Out of nearly 2.5 lakh registrations and around 1.98 lakh student participants nationwide, Chahatโ€™s selection stands as a shining testimony to her merit, confidence, and perseverance, and reflects the collective efforts of her teachers, school, and the School Education Department, J&K.

The felicitation was held during the live viewing of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 at SCERT Jammu, under the able guidance of the Director SCERT J&K, Dr. Naseem Choudhary, and with the constant support and mentorship of the Joint Director SCERT J&K, Jammu Division, (Dr.) Prof. Sindhu Kapoor.

Faculty members and students witnessed the inspiring interaction of the Honโ€™ble Prime Minister, emphasizing stress-free learning, balanced preparation, resilience, and life skills, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

โ€œNayi Shiksha, Nayi Sochโ€ led from the front at SCERT Jammu

The 3-Day NEP 2020 Orientation at Krishi Bhawan, Jammu saw ~100 educators engage in hands-on learning around NCF-SE, PARAKH, NPST, ECCE & Vidya Pravesh, digital initiatives, competency & toy-based pedagogy, inclusive classrooms, libraries, and school leadership.
Valedictory function was graced by Jenab Syed Shabir Ahmad Shah, JKAS (JD SCERT Kashmir).He urged participants to act as agents of change in their respective institutions and disseminate the learnings at the grassroots level .
Earlier inaugurated by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (Director SED & SCERT J&K).
Prof. Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu motivated participants to translate NEP vision into real classroom practice through informed and empowered teaching.

๐Ÿซ The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), J&K, Divisional Office Jammu, through its NEP Cell, inaugurated a Three-Day Orientation Programme on โ€œPathways to Progress โ€“ Understanding NEP 2020 Initiatives: Nayi Shiksha, Nayi Sochโ€ at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu, for around 100 teachers and masters of Jammu Division.

๐Ÿ‘ค The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Naseem Javaid (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu & Director SCERT J&K, as Chief Guest, along with Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu Division.

๐Ÿ’ Ms. Monica Sharma delivered the welcome address, while Ms. Manu Vasudeva, Convenor NEP Cell & Programme Coordinator, presented the concept note.

๐Ÿ“š Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor emphasised learner-centric and inclusive pedagogies.

SCERT J&K, Divisional Office Jammu, organised a Five-Day Workshop on Development of Teacher Resources for Classroom Transaction of Learning Outcomes at Middle Level (Science) under the leadership of Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu & Director SCERT J&K, and the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Jammu Division.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ The programme commenced with a formal inaugural session featuring a welcome address by Ms. Arti Gupta, Assistant Professor, concept note presentation by Mr. Deepak Kumar, keynote address by Mr. Vinod Kumar Bhat, Associate Professor, and an inspiring address by the Worthy Joint Director, SCERT, Jammu Division.

๐Ÿ“˜ Academic sessions covered key themes including NCF-FS 2023 & NCF-SE, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Panchaadi, Science curriculum and learning outcomes, integration of subjects, and career guidance tools. Sessions were facilitated by Ms. Arti Gupta, Ms. Manu Vasudeva, Mr. Amit Sharma, Mr. Yogesh Kumar, Mr. Sushil Hitaishi, Mr. Amit Bhagat, and Mr. Deepak Kumar.
