Teacher Training Programme Organised to Promote Innovative Learning and Teacher Well-being

Date: 6th June 2026

A comprehensive Teacher Training Programme was organised at the school premises with the objective of enhancing teaching methodologies, promoting value-based education, and creating awareness about modern educational practices and social responsibilities among educators.

The programme was graced by eminent personalities including Professor Jigar Mohammed, former Dean Research Studies, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, and former Head of the Department of History, University of Jammu; Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma, Regional Joint General Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad, North Region; Mr. Shreyansh Jain, who conducted an insightful Yoga Session; and Mr. Ashok Gupta, who led an engaging and rejuvenating Hasya Yoga Session.

The respected Principal, Ms. Nehreer Khan, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and holistic development in the field of education.

During the workshop, Professor Jigar Mohammed highlighted the significance of Indian culture, knowledge traditions, and democratic values in shaping responsible citizens and effective educators. He encouraged teachers to integrate moral and social values into the learning process.

Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma delivered enlightening sessions on the New Education Policy (NEP 2020), the concept of Happy Classrooms, and the importance of Financial Literacy in society. He emphasised the need for innovative, student-centric teaching approaches while nurturing Indian values among students.

The Yoga Session conducted by Mr. Shreyansh Jain and the Hasya Yoga Session led by Mr.Ashok Gupta created an atmosphere of positivity, relaxation, and enthusiasm among the teachers. The sessions focused on stress management, mental well-being, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The programme proved to be highly informative, interactive, and inspiring for all the participants. The school administration expressed sincere gratitude to all the resource persons for sharing their valuable insights and motivating the teaching fraternity towards continuous learning, self-improvement, and holistic education.

K.B. Public Hr. Sec. School Celebrates World Environment Day 2026

K.B. Public Hr. Sec. School enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with a meaningful plantation drive led by the students of Classes XI and XII Environmental Science under the guidance of their EVS teacher, Ms. Sonia Chauhan.

Observed under this year’s global theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” hosted in Baku, Azerbaijan, the celebration aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and the urgent need for climate action.

As part of the initiative, students actively participated in a special plantation activity, planting saplings in their hometowns and nearby surroundings to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment. Through their efforts, the students demonstrated a strong sense of environmental responsibility and commitment towards sustainable living.

The occasion served as a reminder that nature remains our greatest guide in building climate resilience and that collective action is essential in addressing environmental challenges and global warming.

Parent-Teacher Meeting Held for Formative Assessment–I

KB Public Hr. Sec. School successfully conducted the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for Formative Assessment–I on 25 May 2026 within the school premises. The meeting served as an important platform for meaningful interaction between parents and teachers regarding the academic progress, performance, discipline, and overall development of the students.

Teachers shared detailed feedback with parents, discussing students’ strengths, areas requiring improvement, classroom participation, and learning behaviour. Parents actively interacted with the teachers and appreciated the continuous efforts of the school towards maintaining academic excellence and holistic development.

The PTM witnessed a positive and cooperative atmosphere, strengthening the bond between parents and the school community. The meeting reflected the institution’s commitment towards ensuring effective communication and collaborative support for the growth and success of every student.

KB Public Hr. Sec. School celebrated its prestigious Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 with immense grandeur, dignity, and enthusiasm at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu. The occasion marked a proud milestone as the newly elected Student Council Members were formally entrusted with responsibilities for the new academic session.

The programme commenced with the gracious arrival of the Chief Guest, Prof. Baljit Singh Mann, Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Jammu, who was warmly welcomed by the NCC cadets of the school. The esteemed Guests of Honour, Mr. Aamir Choudhary and Mr. Khalil Ahmad Poswal, were also accorded a heartfelt welcome by the management and staff members.

The ceremony began with the bouquet presentation by the respected Principal, Ms. Nehreer Khan, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolising the triumph of wisdom, knowledge, and enlightenment.

In her welcome address, the respected Principal formally welcomed all the dignitaries, guests, parents, and attendees present on the occasion.

The audience was enthralled by a splendid series of cultural presentations, including a melodious welcome song, energetic dance performances, a vibrant cultural mashup, and a colourful Rajasthani dance, which added grace and vibrancy to the occasion.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Pipping and Investiture Ceremony, during which badges and sashes were conferred upon the newly elected Student Council Members for the session 2026–27.

Dental Check-up Camp Organised at KB Public School

A Dental Check-up Camp was successfully organised at KB Public School for students from Nursery to Class VII, aimed at promoting awareness regarding oral health and hygiene among young learners.

The camp was conducted by a distinguished team of dental professionals under the guidance of the school Principal, Ms. Nehreer Khan. The visiting team included Professor and Head, Public Health Dentistry, Dr. Iqbal Singh, Senior Dental Surgeon Dr. Amneet Kaur (Department of PHD), Dr. Issa (1st Year PG, Department of PHD), Dr. Meenal, Dr. Harleen, Dr. Atul, and Dr. Aman.

The team carried out detailed dental examinations of the students with great care and dedication. During the session, students were educated about the importance of dental hygiene, healthy brushing habits, and preventive oral care practices necessary for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

The informative and interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who gained valuable awareness regarding oral health and personal hygiene.

Such health awareness initiatives play a vital role in encouraging children to adopt healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare practices from an early age.

KB Public Hr. Sec. School Organizes Mega Awareness Programme Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

KB Public Hr. Sec. School organized a grand and impactful Awareness Programme under the nationwide campaign “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” with the objective of inspiring students and youth to embrace a life of discipline, determination, and positivity while raising strong awareness against the menace of drug abuse.

The programme was conducted in the esteemed presence of Chairman Jenab Arshad Ali Choudhary, General Secretary Jenab Sadiq Azad, Director Dr. Nazia Ahmed Choudhary, and Principal Ms. Nehreer Khan, whose encouragement and support made the initiative deeply inspiring and meaningful for the students.

The event was further graced by distinguished dignitaries including Arun Kumar Sharma, Regional Joint General Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad North Region, along with Inspector Varun Chandan, Inspector Ashwini Kumar, and Inspector Nayeem Chowdhury from the Excise Department, Jammu & Kashmir. Through their insightful interaction, students were encouraged to remain vigilant against substance abuse and contribute towards building a responsible and healthy society.

To make the awareness drive more engaging and impactful, the school organised a variety of meaningful activities. A Volleyball Competition was conducted with the purpose of channelising the energy of youth towards discipline, teamwork, and constructive engagement through sports.

A large number of students enthusiastically participated in the Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions, where nearly 100 students from Classes V to VIII creatively expressed powerful messages promoting a drug-free lifestyle and the importance of healthy living.

One of the major highlights of the programme was the Nasha Mukt Bharat Rally organised from the school campus to Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust. Students actively participated in the rally carrying banners and placards while spreading awareness among the public about the importance of staying away from drugs and embracing a life of purpose and responsibility. The rally reflected the determination and collective voice of the young generation towards building a healthier and addiction-free society.

The school management highly appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and emphasised the significance of such initiatives in guiding youth towards positivity, discipline, and nation-building values.

The programme was successfully coordinated and managed by the CCA Incharges, Ms. Aarushi Jamwal and Ms. Sabha Salaria, along with their dedicated team and Academic Coordinator Ms. Simran.

KB Public Hr. Sec. School organized a special felicitation ceremony under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to honour young boxing sensation Mohammad Yasir, the Gold Medalist and U-15 Asian Champion from Jammu & Kashmir. The prestigious championship was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where the young achiever proudly represented India and brought glory to the nation by holding the Indian flag high at the international level.

The programme was conducted in the esteemed presence of Chairman Jenab Arshad Ali Choudhary, General Secretary Jenab Sadiq Azad, Director Dr. Nazia Ahmed Choudhary, Principal Nehreer Khan, staff members, and students.
