Cyber Security Awareness Programme Organised at KB Public School

KB Public School successfully organised a Cyber Security Awareness Programme on 16 May 2026 with the objective of educating students about the safe, responsible, and informed use of digital platforms and modern technology.

The programme was graced by the presence of Er. Niraj Dubey, Cyber Security Warrior – J&K (UT), as the esteemed guest speaker. During the highly informative session, he shared valuable insights on cyber safety, online frauds, digital privacy, password protection, social media awareness, and responsible internet usage. Through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions, he guided students and teachers on how to protect their personal data, identify cyber threats, and report cyber crimes through various official online platforms and websites.

The session also included active interaction with students, where queries related to cyber security and digital safety were addressed in an engaging and insightful manner, making the programme both educational and impactful.

Er. Niraj Dubey is actively associated with several prestigious organisations including the FOSS Community, Cyber Security Society IIT Kanpur, Cyber Warriors, Cyber Safe India, eSAKSHAM Programme under AICTE and Ministry of Education, and Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF) India, where he continuously works towards spreading awareness regarding cyber security among students and the wider community.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and staff members, who gained practical knowledge about cyber threats and preventive measures essential for navigating the digital world safely and responsibly.

As a gesture of gratitude and appreciation, the Vice Principal, Ms. Inderjyot Kour, presented a planter to the guest speaker in recognition of his valuable contribution and enlightening interaction with the school community.

KB Public School Shines at Rope Skipping Gold Cup Championship

KB Public School proudly participated in the Rope Skipping Gold Cup Championship organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Rope Skipping Association at JP World School, Jammu. The prestigious event witnessed the participation of nearly 35 schools competing across various categories, showcasing exceptional sporting talent and enthusiasm.

The students of KB Public School delivered a commendable performance and brought pride to the institution by securing medals in different events.

In the 30 Seconds Speed Hop category, Sakib secured a Bronze Medal. In the One Minute Freestyle category, Saika earned a Bronze Medal, while Shazada also secured a Bronze Medal in the 30 Seconds Hop event.

The achievement reflects KB Public School’s continued commitment towards encouraging excellence in sports and providing students with opportunities to showcase their talent at competitive platforms.

Inter-House One Act Play Competition Celebrates Shakespearean Legacy

13 May, 2026-KB Public School organised an engaging Inter-House One Act Play Competition for the Senior Wing on the theme “William Shakespeare: The Architect of Modern English.” The event beautifully celebrated the timeless literary brilliance of Shakespeare through dramatic performances presented by all four houses.

Peace House opened the competition with an adapted presentation portraying the enduring relevance of Shakespeare’s words in the modern world. Harmony House captivated the audience with a monologue from As You Like It, while Truth House staged a powerful court scene from The Merchant of Venice. The event concluded with Faith House, which presented an impactful scene from King Lear.

Addressing the gathering, the respected Principal, Ms. Nehreer Khan, highly appreciated the efforts and performances of the students and shared valuable insights on Shakespeare’s lasting contribution to modern English and literature.

The performances were evaluated by the respected Principal Ms. Nehreer Khan, the Vice Principal, Ms. Inderjyot Kour, and the Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nanda. The programme was successfully coordinated by the CCA Incharge, Ms. Aarushi Jamwal, along with the dedicated efforts of the House Incharges.

The Junior Wing of KB Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with a series of thoughtful and emotionally enriching activities, honouring the unconditional love, care, and sacrifices of mothers.

The celebration beautifully reflected the emotions of gratitude, affection, and respect through creative expressions by the students. Class 1 students presented a delightful and heart-touching dance performance dedicated to mothers, filling the atmosphere with warmth and joy. Class 2 students enthusiastically participated in a card-making activity, creating beautiful handmade cards expressing their love and appreciation.

Adding emotional depth to the occasion, Class 3 students penned heartfelt letters to their mothers, expressing gratitude and sharing their innocent yet meaningful feelings.

As part of the celebration, students of Classes 4 and 5 visited the Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Amphalla, Jammu, where they spent valuable time with the elderly residents. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, students of Classes IV and V from KB Public School visited the Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Amphalla, Jammu, as part of a heartfelt social outreach initiative aimed at spreading love, care, and companionship among the elderly residents.

The visit was marked by warmth, compassion, and meaningful interaction as students spent valuable time with the residents through conversations, cheerful engagement, and a soulful musical performance, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and emotional connection.

The students were accompanied by the Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nanda, whose presence and encouragement added significance to the occasion. KB Public School Excels at Inter-School Tournament Organised by Youth Services & Sports Department

KB Public School brought immense pride to the institution through its outstanding performance at the Inter-School Tournament organised by the Youth Services and Sports Department in collaboration with the GPEO Office, Gandhi Nagar Zone. The tournament was held from 5th May to 8th May 2026 at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of nearly 20 schools competing in various sporting disciplines including Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, and Wrestling.

Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship, the students of KB Public School secured remarkable achievements across multiple categories. In Kabaddi, the school emerged victorious in the U-14 Boys, U-17 Boys, and U-14 Girls categories. In Volleyball, the U-14 Girls and U-17 Boys teams secured winning positions, while the U-14 Boys team earned the runners-up position. The school further showcased its sporting excellence in Kho-Kho, where the U-14 team secured the winning title.

Adding further distinction to this remarkable achievement, a commendable 42 students from the school have been selected for the District Level Tournament in various games, marking a proud milestone for the institution.

KB Public Hr. Sec. School successfully organized “EduFair 2026”, a Career Counselling Session, at GDCT Jammu on Thursday, 7th May 2026, with the objective of guiding students towards higher education opportunities, career planning, and global exposure. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, educators, and representatives from prestigious national and international universities.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Aarushi Jamwal, who welcomed the esteemed guests, university delegates, staff members, and students, while emphasizing the importance of informed career choices and global educational opportunities for young learners.

The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Himanshu Mittal, a distinguished expert in international education and student counselling, who addressed the gathering on emerging career opportunities, higher education pathways, scholarships, and future prospects for students in India and abroad. His insightful and motivating interaction inspired students to explore diverse academic possibilities and make well-informed career decisions.

KB Public School successfully conducted a Drawing & Coloring Competition along with an Objective Type Quiz Competition (General Knowledge) on 4 May 2026, in collaboration with HDFC Bank, with the aim of fostering creativity, awareness, and intellectual development among students.

Students from Nursery to Class II enthusiastically participated in the Drawing and Coloring Competition, showcasing their imagination and artistic skills through vibrant and creative expressions. The activity provided a joyful platform for young learners to explore and present their creativity.

Simultaneously, students from Classes III to IX participated in the Objective Type Quiz Competition, designed to enhance their general awareness, analytical thinking, and knowledge across diverse areas. The quiz created an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment, encouraging active participation and healthy competition.
