Inter-House Sports Meet Held at HSS Sallan
Higher Secondary School Sallan successfully organized an Inter-House Sports Meet with great enthusiasm and active participation of students. A variety of athletic events were conducted, including 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 3000 m races, relay race, and tug of war.
Shri Anup Kumar Kotwal, Tehsildar Hiranagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Shri Kabla Singh, Ex-Sarpanch, and Shri Subhash Sharma, Ex-Sarpanch, who encouraged the students and appreciated their sporting spirit.
In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness among students.
Principal Shri Gopal Dass thanked the Chief Guest and other dignitaries for their gracious presence and highlighted the importance of inculcating sportsman spirit among students.
The sports meet was efficiently organized under the guidance of Shri Subhash Chander Saini, Lecturer in Botany and Smt Pinka Devi PEL, who arranged all the events in an excellent manner. The active participation and cooperation of all staff members contributed immensely to the grand success of the event.
At the conclusion, medals were awarded to the winners, and refreshments were also served to the students, adding to the cheer and enthusiasm of the occasion.

Morning Assembly Report
The morning assembly was conducted successfully under the Peace House. The entire proceedings of the assembly were conducted in Dogri language, with the aim of promoting respect for the mother tongue and cultural values among students.
On the occasion, Sh. Sukhdev Lal, Master addressed the students in Dogri and emphasized the importance of hard work, discipline, and moral values in life. He motivated the students to remain sincere in their studies, respect elders and teachers, and follow ethical values to become responsible citizens.
The assembly concluded in a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere, with active participation from the students.
On 13-08-2025, students and staff of *HSS Sallan observed* *Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge. A total of 200 students and 30 staff members participated, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free India.
