Ministry of Education proudly marks 4 transformative years of NIPUN Bharat Mission — National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy, a flagship initiative ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) for every child by Grade 2. First time 3 years of preschool (Balvatika) recognized as a continuum of education in the 5+3+3+4 structure where the foundational stage is 3 years of preschool and Grade 1 & 2.
Central to its success is a child-centric approach that makes learning joyful and engaging. Innovative resources like- Jaadui Pitara and its digital version e-Jaadui Pitara—for playway pedagogy, featuring activity-based learning kits, storybooks, puppets and flashcards in 22 languages are bringing classrooms to life. National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage is the first ever integrated Curriculum Framework for children between ages 3-8 in India.

The impact of the mission is visible in measurable student outcomes through the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 and ASER 2024, reflecting the tangible progress being made all over India. NIPUN Bharat is not just building foundational skills — it is laying the groundwork for lifelong learning, fully aligned with the vision of NEP 2020.

Yes, you heard it right! The Commission on Higher Education RO1 has opened their scholarship applications for the Merit Scholarship for the AY 2025-2026.

India at the 3rd G20 Education Working Group Meeting | Durban, South Africa 🇿🇦

India participated in the 3rd G20 Education Working Group Meeting held under the South African G20 Presidency in Durban. During the meeting, the Indian delegation highlighted key achievements under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and contributed to discussions on the theme “Education Professionals for a Changing World.”

The Indian delegation, comprising officials of the Ministry, highlighted national initiatives aimed at equipping the country’s vast teaching workforce with the skills, tools, and standards required to succeed in an evolving global education landscape.

Led by Prof. Pankaj Arora, Chairperson of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the delegation reaffirmed India’s commitment to collaborating with G20 member nations to strengthen capacity-building, fostering partnerships, and promoting mutual learning in the education sector.

👧कक्षा 10 की बोर्ड परीक्षा में 60% या उससे अधिक अंक प्राप्त करने वाली छात्राओं की उत्तीर्ण प्रतिशतता में 67.8% की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई है, जो शिक्षा में लैंगिक समानता को प्रोत्साहित करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

यह उपलब्धि राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के परिवर्तनकारी प्रभाव का प्रमाण है, जिसने देशभर में समानता, समावेशिता और गुणवतापूर्ण स्कूली शिक्षा को सशक्त बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।

📈 Overall passing percentage of students scoring 60% and above in Class 10 board rose by 58.3% over the last 11 years

👧 The passing percentage of girl students scoring 60% and above in Class 10 board rose by 67.8%, promoting gender equity in education.

This achievement is a testament to the transformative impact of which has played a pivotal role in strengthening equitable, inclusive and quality-driven school education across the country.
