"Learning happens 90 percent outside the classroom, and only 10 percent happen inside of them"
We thank and extend our heartful gratitude to Mr. Avnish Sabharwal for his eye opener session on "Entrepreneurship in Management Consulting". Emphasizing the relevance of Serendipity, he advised the students to work on their resilience, mindfulness, adaptability and judgements to be successful in the BANI world.

"Inspire - Meet your local Entrepreneurs" 🌟✨ .
Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IIM Jammu had the privilege of hosting an inspiring event at our institute, where we had the opportunity to interview - Mrs Sanchaita Khajuria, a remarkable local female entrepreneur.
She shared with us her journey from tourism to Basohli a form of handicrafts of Jammu. Her insights left us in awe! 💪💼.
Celebrating the fearless entrepreneurs who are breaking barriers and making their mark in the business world, we were captivated by her story of resilience, passion, and determination. 👩💼💡 Here's to all the local entrepreneurs who are inspiring us with their innovation and empowering the next generation of leaders! 🙌🌍

Greetings from EDC
Through its brick-and-mortar stores, Nykaa intends to continue its offline expansion. By 2024, it intends to have more than 180 outlets. This will enable the business to increase both sales and revenue. In addition, the business started an IPO, which increased its valuation to $4 billion. It’s the first business in the online beauty industry to do so.
Because of Nykaa, the myth that e-commerce and beauty retail don't function well in India has been decisively disproven.
Do you think Nykaa has the potential to disrupt the beauty industry? Also, what’s your take on Nykaa’s IPO? Tell us in the comments below.
Happy learning.
Regards.

✨Greetings from EDC✨
Unicorn startups are highly respected in the business world, and rightfully so. To become a unicorn startup, a company needs to reach an investor valuation of $1 billion or more, and as of 2022, there are only 554 unicorns worldwide. Entering into the unicorn club is a dream which is hard to achieve. Lately, India is an emerging unicorn producer but the profits earned by them are very less. As per Entrackr’s data, the top 5 profitable unicorns are Zoho, InfoEdge, Zerodha, Five Star and Dream11 with ₹1,917 crore, ₹1,409 crore, ₹1,122 crore, ₹359 crore and ₹327 crore clocked as profit during FY21, respectively. While Zoho and Zerodha are bootstrapped, InFoEdge is a publicly listed company and Sequoia Capital-backed Five Star is an NBFC. While the top loss making companies are Oyo, Udaan and Flipkart with more than ₹2,000 crore loss each in FY21.
Happy learning ✌️
