The polytechnic is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education),Ministry of Human Resource development, Govt. of India & Jammu & Kashmir Government. It is also affiliated to the Jammu & Kashmir State Board of Technical Education for Conducting 3-year full time diploma course in the following eight branches :-
