𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗹,
Sardhapali Basti, Bhubaneshwar.
4th November, 2021. ✨

This Diwali, Team Rainbow organized Project କଲୋଳ (Kalol) in Bhubaneswar in order to celebrate this beautiful festival with the kids who aren't enough fortunate to enjoy Diwali like us.
At sharp 11am on 4th November we met them. Their innocent smile filled us with joy. We tried our best to give them a good time filled with happiness. We danced, laughed, sang and enjoyed our hearts out that day. Packets of joy with stationary items and snacks were provided. It wasn't a lot but they treasured those which really filled us with immense joy and we wondered they get so happy with such little things.
Parting with them was bit hard. Time went by so quickly that we didn't realise that it was already time for a goodbye. We hugged by them and we made a promise of meeting them again.
Project Kalol was a successful event of team Rainbow. Organisers were very helpful and kind towards us. We look forward to more events like this and spread happiness to those kids.

Looking up at the blue sky, clouds, splashes of colors in the form of an arch, birds chirping around, and a pretty little smile on your face?

Yes, exactly that smile is what we are looking for. 🌻

We are so pleased to inform that we are organising an event in Bhubaneswar, and named it Project କଲୋଳ (Kalol) on 4th November 2021.

'Kalol' in Sanskrit means chirps of birds.
One of the most concerning aspect of mental health is to embrace our playful side.

We will be trying to help the people of the area of Shardapali Basti behind AMRI Hospital, (near Jayedev Vatika park, Khandagiri) in Bhubaneswar by providing them the study materials and spending some quality time with them.

Local people are welcome to grab this wonderful opportunity and contribute as volunteers.

It's RAINBOW here!

We are back with another programme - "SAMRIDDHI" (Project Samriddhi) which means "prosperity", and one of the easiest ways to welcome prosperity is 'education'.

Isn't it?

So can we miss a chance to see happy, prosperous faces all around?
We can't!

So this programme is being organised in collaboration with Herald of Hope 2021. We will inaugurate this on 6th October with an attempt to put little effort to educate the children of the slum areas of Silpasamiti Para.

Local teachers are welcome to grab this auspicious opportunity and contribute as volunteers.

Truth:
Many people who work in non profits are officials like computer programmers, fundraisers etc. and do not do direct service work.
Non profit workers not only involve in direct service like mentoring programs etc. but also involve in fundraising, managing etc. These workers support the work of direct service workers.

Myth-2: Non profits lack resources and are informal

Truth: Business attire is the norm at many non profit organizations but their cultures vary.
Large institutions with multi million dollar annual budgets are mostly non profit organizations and their cultures vary but business attire is the norm.

Myth-3: All non profits support the left wing causes

Truth: Many organizations exist to provide services which the government does not. They do not have a political agenda.
non profit organizations provide and promote services the government does not.

Myth-4: Working for a non profit is like volunteering

Truth: Volunteers only support the direct service work of an organization and are shielded from other works.
Surprisingly, NGO sectors contributes a large amount to employment. Volunteers work part-time, where as organizations need full time support of other departments like fundraising, finance, administration etc.
