Rustomjie stands together as a family, shaped by the vision and discipline of Mrs. H. D. Pesuna, our founder principal.
It is difficult to speak of her in the past tense. For most of us, she is a presence we still measure ourselves against in how we teach, how we speak to children, how we carry integrity, and how we hold ourselves and our work.
She built Rustomjie not as an institution, but as a culture.
Those who worked with her understood her standards well.
Those who have studied under her carry her in the ways they think, speak, and stand in the world.
As we come together to pray for her peaceful passing, we also gather to acknowledge that Rustomjie was her life’s offering.
She leaves behind more than buildings and batches.
She leaves behind an institution that works because she built it with intent,
a community that stays together because she taught it to,
and a legacy that will continue.
On behalf of the Rustomjie family, we offer our prayers, our gratitude, and our commitment to uphold what she began, not just in the ceremonial moments, but in our everyday practice, in the classroom, in the corridor, in the way we treat children, in every parent, in every teacher.
May her soul continue its journey ahead.
May her values remain in practice,
and may we continue to honor her not only with words today, but with the work we do tomorrow.
And as she always said: good thoughts, good words, good deeds, always.
