From a modest beginning in 1994 founded by late Sri Tarsem Lal Sarvari with the name Suman Day Boarding School, the school has expanded its activities and assumed greater responsibilities. The school was upgraded to class X and affiliated to Punjab School Education Board, Mohali vide affiliation No 3378 on 2000
The school was renamed as Suman Day Sr. School with effect from 2004 and it was further

upgraded to +2 level vide affiliation No 3378 in 2001. It became an authorized center for NIOS(National Institute of Open Schooling) in 2005. The school started with the study centre of KSOU to provide distance learning for graduate and post graduate courses in various fields, in 2012. School – A GLIMPSE
