Mayor World School organised a visit for Grade I students to Rangla Punjab. It was a fun-filled day where children experienced the rich culture and traditions of Punjab in a lively village setting.
The students were thrilled to see traditional Punjabi houses, colourful decorations, and beautiful handicrafts.The cheerful music and energetic Bhangra dance performances made everyone clap and smile with happiness.
Children also got a chance to taste delicious Punjabi food, which they enjoyed very much. They learnt about village life, farming, and the importance of culture in a very simple and engaging way.
The visit helped the students learn outside the classroom while having lots of fun. It was truly a memorable and enriching experience for all the children
Inter-House TED Talk Competition at Mayor World School
Mayor World School hosted the Inter-House TED Talk Competition for students of Grades IX to XII on 14th May 2026, providing a dynamic platform for young speakers to express their ideas with clarity and confidence.
The performances were evaluated on parameters such as relevance of topic, delivery skills, audience impact, and body language.
The event was judged by the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor, and the Special Educator, Ms.Pooja Arora .Keats House ,represented by Khushi Kumar (IX C), Kavya (X A), and Venya Bhandari (Grade XI B) secured the first position. Kudrat Noor ( Grade X B) from Shakespeare House was declared the Best Speaker
Mayor World School organised Chabeel: A Legacy of Selfless Service
In a powerful testament to community spirit and social responsibility, Mayor World School organised a ‘Chabeel’ on 13th May 2026, providing much-needed respite to the residents of Jalandhar amidst the sweltering summer heat. Driven by the guidance of the School Management and the educators, the students of Grade X took the initiative to serve a traditional, refreshing rose-infused drink, meticulously prepared with a focus on hygiene using RO water, milk, and syrup.
The distribution reached a wide cross-section of the public, including pedestrians and local vendors, with the students demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and a genuine spirit of service. Beyond the immediate relief provided to the community, the event served as a practical lesson in empathy, compassion, and civic duty, as the active participation of the School Management, teachers and students underscored a collective commitment to social welfare.
The event concluded as a resounding success, radiating warmth and positivity throughout the city. By fostering such initiatives, the institution continues to instill in its students the importance of giving back, preparing them to lead as sensitive and responsible citizens of tomorrow
“Beyond Calculations: Exploring the Power of Logical Thinking and Problem Solving”
Mayor World School conducted a Critical Thinking Activity in Mathematics on 5th May 2026 with the objective of strengthening the mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills of our Mayorites. The activity aimed to encourage students to move beyond routine calculations and apply logical thinking to solve real-life and concept-based problems.
Students were engaged in a variety of tasks, including puzzles, pattern recognition, logical reasoning questions, and word problems. They participated both individually and in groups, exploring different approaches and justifying their solutions. This collaborative learning environment helped build confidence and enhanced their ability to articulate mathematical ideas effectively.
The activity fostered curiosity, creativity, and teamwork among students. It also improved their skills in interpreting questions, planning systematic solutions, and verifying answers for accuracy. Teachers played a crucial role by guiding students through probing questions and encouraging multiple problem-solving strategies.
Overall, the activity was highly interactive and successful in making Mathematics both enjoyable and meaningful.

A heartwarming Mother’s Day celebration was held at Mayor World School, honouring the unconditional love, care, and dedication of mothers.
The event began with an engaging pottery workshop where mothers and children spent quality time together, creating beautiful keepsakes and cherished memories. The celebration became even more vibrant as mothers enthusiastically participated in a variety of fun-filled games, filling the atmosphere with laughter and joy.
One of the most touching moments of the day was the presentation of a heartfelt video performance by the children, showcased on the projector as a beautiful tribute to their mothers.
The celebration concluded with a delightful high tea, offering everyone an opportunity to interact, relax, and enjoy the memorable moments shared together.
It was truly a beautiful celebration filled with love, warmth, happiness, and togetherness.
Mayor World School, in collaboration with Pehal NGO, organised an E-Waste Collection Drive on the occasion of Earth Day to spread awareness about the safe disposal and recycling of electronic waste.
Students, parents, and staff members participated enthusiastically by contributing unused electronic items such as old chargers, batteries, mobile phones, and cables. The initiative helped students understand the importance of environmental conservation and responsible waste management.
The Management appreciated the efforts of everyone involved and encouraged such eco-friendly initiatives for a cleaner and greener future.
The Inter-House Volleyball Matches were successfully conducted for the students, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork. The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm, coordination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Each team exhibited commendable skill, determination, and resilience, making the matches both engaging and competitive. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their athletic abilities but also encouraged discipline, cooperation, and mutual respect.
The management appreciated the sincere efforts of the Sports Department in organising the event efficiently and applauded the participants for their active involvement and exemplary conduct
The students of Grade II enthusiastically participated in a vibrant and imaginative Book Character Parade organised by the school. The event aimed to encourage reading habits, creativity, confidence, and an appreciation for literature among young learners. Dressed as their favourite storybook characters, the children brought the magical world of books to life through their colourful costumes and expressive presentations.
The School witnessed a delightful parade where students confidently walked across the stage portraying well-known literary characters from fairy tales, fables, comics, and children’s novels. Each participant spoke a few lines about the character they had chosen, sharing interesting details and memorable dialogues with great enthusiasm and confidence. Their performances reflected not only their love for reading but also their creativity and preparation.
The event created an atmosphere filled with excitement, imagination, and joy. Teachers and students applauded the efforts of all participants for their confidence and expressive presentation. The Book Character Parade proved to be a wonderful learning experience that inspired children to explore the fascinating world of books while developing their communication and presentation skills.
The Annual Inter-House Cricket Matches for Middle School boys were conducted successfully. All participants displayed great enthusiasm, team spirit, and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the event.
The Management appreciated the commendable efforts of the Sports Department in organising the matches efficiently and also applauded the players for their active participation and dedication.
