*CLAY MODELLING COMPETITION AT SJPS – LITTLE HANDS, BIG CREATIVITY*

A vibrant Clay Modelling Competition was organized for our little artists of *Bal Vatika-1, 2 & 3*, and what a colourful day it was!

Our tiny sculptors amazed everyone with their imagination:
Bal Vatika-1 made cute trains and teddy bears using different shapes.
Bal Vatika-2 created yummy-looking fruits like strawberry, banana, cherry, grapes & more.
Bal Vatika-3 made beautiful vegetables like- pumpkin, peas, brinjal, carrot that looked almost real!

Our respected Principal *Mrs. Parveen Saili* appreciated the efforts of all students and motivated them to keep exploring their creativity.

*TINY TOTS OF SHIV JYOTI PUBLIC SCHOOL CELEBRATE TEEJ WITH TRADITIONAL ZEAL*

Under the able guidance of our respected Principal *Mrs. Parveen Saili* and school management, Teej was celebrated with great enthusiasm for our little ones of *Bal Vatika-1, 2 & 3*.

The campus turned into a vibrant mela!
Our young students came dressed in beautiful _kurta-pyjamas_ and _suit-dupattas_ and danced their hearts out on _Gidda_ and _Bhangra_ to the beats of the _dhol_.

*Traditional _chhaj_ and _pakkhi_
*Delicious _Gulab Jamun_, _Jalebi_ & _Kheer_

Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili interacted with the children, visited every stall and told them about the cultural significance of Teej.

*Handmade with Love, Sent with Pride - Shiv Jyoti Students send Rakhis for Our Jawans*


● Under the able leadership of the school management and Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili, students participated in the nationwide campaign ‘Bharat Raksha Parv’—initiated by *Dainik Jagran*—by crafting beautiful Rakhis with their own hands and sending them to the brave sentinels guarding the borders. Marking the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, and continuing a tradition observed for several years, the students honoured the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of the armed forces by creating these handmade Rakhis and sending messages of gratitude.
● Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili stated that the Shiv Jyoti family is always eager to express respect and gratitude towards the soldiers. She expressed the hope that this sacred festival—which binds people in a bond of boundless affection and unwavering trust—would bring abundant happiness to everyone.

*Tiranga High, Spirits Higher! SJPS Celebrates 80th Independence Day*

● Shiv Jyoti Public School celebrated its 80th Independence Day under the leadership of the school management and Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili.
•Wing Commander Jasmeet Singh Sudan (CA, Jalandhar NCC) graced the event as the Chief Guest.

•Distinguished guests who attended the program included Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Kapoor (Chairperson, Local Advisory Committee SJPS), Prof. Somnath Sharma (Member, Managing Committee), Mr. R.R.Paul Sharda (Trustee), Mr. B.B. Jyoti (Trustee), Dr. Anil Jyoti (Trustee), Mr. Vinod Aggarwal (Member, Managing Committee SJES), Mr. Munish Verma (Parents' Representative), and members of the Student Council.

● After welcoming the dignitaries at the ‘Durga Dwar’, the flag-hoisting ceremony took place, accompanied by a salute to the Tricolour. Following the National Anthem, students expressed their patriotism by singing the school song, ‘Hum Honge Kamyab'. The students also gave a captivating performance of a rhythmic ‘Ribbon Drill’.

•Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili welcomed all the esteemed guests by presenting them with saplings. Describing freedom as an ongoing journey, she inspired everyone to work to eradicate social evils.
Celebrating this national festival, students delivered a series of magnificent performances—including group songs and dances—that showcased India’s saga of valour. They demonstrated various yoga postures in perfect physical coordination, accompanied by Lezium and dumbbells. Under the theme ‘Many Roles, One Vision – Viksit Bharat 2047’, the students presented a dance-drama illustrating the various milestones essential for transforming India into a ‘Vishwa Guru’ (Global Leader).
● Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili expressed her gratitude to the chief guest, Wing Commander Jasmeet Singh Sudan, and presented him with a memento. Wing Commander Jasmeet Singh Sudan also presented a special memento to the school and inspired the students to learn something new every day, help those in need, and pledge to become responsible citizens.
Dr. Usha Kapoor and Prof. Somnath Sharma also extended greetings for the national festival and conveyed the message of performing one's duties through teamwork.
The students and staff concluded the program by singing 'Vande Mataram'.
The proceedings were conducted by Mrs. Neenu Singh, along with Head Boy Prajwal Agarwal, Head Girl Tanisha Khanna, Takshdeep, and Srishti.

Students at Shiv Jyoti Public School Celebrate Birthdays by Performing *Havan Yajna*

● Inspired by vision of Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili, and as part of the school's best practices, a *Havan Yajna* was organized to invoke blessings for all students born in the month of August. The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal, chanting Vedic mantras.They offered oblations into the sacred fire with a spirit of purity and devotion. Following the conclusion of the *Havan Yajna*, Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili extended her heartfelt wishes to the students and prayed for their bright future. The gathering concluded with the distribution of *Prasad*.

*SJPS Shines Again! Nikhil Sood Wins 3rd Prize in Inter- School Vedic Speech Competition*

•Under the able guidance of *Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili*, our students continue to make SJPS proud on every platform.

*Nikhil Sood of Class X* secured *3rd Prize* in the *‘Inter-School Vedic Speech Competition’* (Round 1), organized by *Ved Prachar Mandal (Regd.), Ludhiana* at Hindu Kanya Collegiate School, Kapurthala.

Speaking brilliantly on the topic _*Jaisa Karoge Waisa Bharoge*_ , Nikhil impressed everyone with his confidence, clarity and values.

*Bagless Day at SJPS: Learning Beyond Books!*

Under the able guidance of *Principal Mrs.Parveen Saili* , "Bagless Day Activities" were organised
in line with the vision of *National Education Policy 2020* for the students of *Classes VI, VII & VIII*. The students enjoyed a day of *experiential, skill-based and joyful learning* - with no bags, but lots of creativity!

*Class VI - Cooking Without Fire*
Students prepared simple, nutritious dishes in groups. They learned about hygiene, teamwork, healthy eating and food presentation. They also explored careers in culinary arts, nutrition & hotel management.

*Class VII - Tie and Dye*
With food colours and fabric, students created vibrant patterns. This activity boosted creativity, fine motor skills and artistic expression.

*Class VIII - Creating an Advertisement*
From the *Kaushal Bodh* curriculum, students designed ads with catchy slogans and layouts. They strengthened communication, marketing, presentation and critical thinking skills.
