Saanvi Dogra Wins 1st Prize Overall in “Udaan of Fankaar’Z” TV Reality Show

Saanvi Dogra, a student of Class VII-B, brought great pride by securing the 1st Prize Overall in “Udaan of Fankaar’Z”, a multi-talent TV reality show showcasing dancing, singing, painting and other artistic skills. The event was organized by the Dance Sports Council of Punjab.

The competition witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 5,000 participants auditioning across various cities in India. After several competitive rounds, the Grand Finale was held at Mehar Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar, on 11th January 2026.

Saanvi emerged as the Overall Winner of the Show and was felicitated with a trophy and an Activa in recognition of her outstanding performance and exceptional talent.

Her remarkable achievement is a matter of immense pride and inspiration for all.

SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad 2025–2026
The SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) 2025–2026 was successfully conducted in the month of November 2025 in the school premises. A total of 65 students from Classes III to V enthusiastically participated in the examination and showcased their knowledge and awareness in various fields.

Out of the participants, 13 students were awarded the Gold Medal of Excellence along with certificates for their outstanding performance. The remaining students were appreciated with participation certificates in recognition of their sincere efforts and active involvement.

The event was conducted under the guidance of the dedicated teachers, Ms. Sonia Sharma and Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, & Activity coordinator Mrs.Bhavna Sabharwal,whose constant support and encouragement motivated the students to perform their best.

A two-day Hands-on Sustainability workshop was organized at Pushpa Gujral Science City on 9th and 10th February 2026. The workshop focused on the themes Fibre Testing and Upcycling of Textiles and Natural Dyes, aiming to create awareness about sustainable fabric practices. Students of Classes VII and VIII actively participated and gained valuable insights into the concept of sustainability in textiles. They learned about fibre testing techniques and the process of dyeing fabrics using natural dyes, understanding how natural products can be used as eco-friendly sources of colour.

The students were accompanied by Mrs Suman Khanna, Skill Educator, and the programme was smoothly coordinated by the School Activity In-charge, Mrs Bhavna Sabharwal.

Madam Principal, Mrs Parveen Saili, encouraged the students to implement the lessons learned during the workshop in their day-to-day lives and adopt sustainable practices for a better future.

A Show and Tell Competition was successfully organized on 09.02.2026 for the students of Balvatika 1, 2 and 3, with the enthusiastic participation of 48 students. The young learners confidently showcased their speaking skills by presenting various props and speaking a few lines about them. The students brought attractive models, charts and objects based on diverse topics such as Chandrayaan-3, India, Peacock, Milk, Plants, the Sun, and many more. The activity helped in enhancing their confidence, communication skills and creativity. The competition was judged by Ms. Manisha and Ms. Palak Sanan, while Ms. Priyanka Thukral efficiently conducted the activity as the Activity In-charge. The Vice Principal Ma’am appreciated the efforts of the participants and awarded medals to the winners.

In Balvatika 1A, Jasmine Kaur Bhatia secured the first position, Balraj Singh secured the second position, and Naira Arora secured the third position.

In Balvatika 1B, Ridhi secured the first position, Shivika secured the second position, and Armaandeep Singh secured the third position.

In Balvatika 2A, Ananya Sharma secured the first position, Jessica Badhan secured the second position, while Pariksh*t Bhardwaj and Advitya Madia jointly secured the third position.

In Balvatika 2B, Vedant Koura secured the first position, Anayra and Gitaz Singh jointly secured the second position, and Umika secured the third position.

In Balvatika 3A, Yuvisha Khanna secured the first position, Anaya secured the second position, and Vamika secured the third position.

In Balvatika 3B, Nayab Sharma secured the first position, Raima Arora secured the second position, and Jaisha secured the third position.

In Balvatika 3C, Chezian Thukral secured the first position, Jenika secured the second position, while Adya Arora and Navya Angra jointly secured the third position.

Celebration of Valedictory Function – Class XII

Shiv Jyoti Public School organised the Valedictory Function for Class XII with great dignity and enthusiasm on 7th February 2026 on the school premises. The programme was conducted under the patronage and blessings of Dr. Vidur Jyoti (Chairman, Trust) and Dr. Suvikram Jyoti (Manager, Managing Committee & General Secretary, Trust) and under the able guidance of the Worthy Principal, Mrs. Parveen Saili.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili, Vice-Principal Mrs. Ramandeep, and Additional Vice-Principal Mrs. Mamta Arora, whose presence added grace and solemnity to the ceremony.

Addressing the students, Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili showered her blessings upon the outgoing batch and wished all the students appearing for the forthcoming Board Examinations a heartfelt “Good Luck” along with a prosperous and successful life ahead.

The cultural segment added charm to the event. The highlight of the programme was the melodious musical performance with instruments presented by the students of Class XI, under the guidance of Mrs. Rekha Joshi and Mr. Aakash, which enthralled the audience. This was followed by captivating dance performances by the students of Class XI, guided by Ms. Rajni Sharma, leaving the audience spellbound.

A series of fun-filled games and activities, organised by the teachers of Class XI, brought joy and excitement, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the moments of laughter and camaraderie.

Students of Class XII actively participated in the games, and several students were honoured with special tags based on their academic achievements and co-curricular performances.During the programme, Head Boy Keshav Thukral and Head Girl Hisha delivered emotional farewell speeches, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, teachers, and administrative staff for their constant guidance and support from their first day in school till Class XII.

The programme was efficiently anchored by Mrs. Neenu Singh, along with Takshdeep Singh and Tanisha of Class XI, who conducted the event with confidence and poise.

On this auspicious occasion, Dr. Vidur Jyoti and Dr. Suvikram Jyoti conveyed their warm greetings and best wishes to the outgoing students, encouraging them to uphold the values instilled by the institution and excel in all future endeavours.

As part of the valedictory celebrations, the school also conferred the prestigious Mr. Shiv Jyoti and Miss Shiv Jyoti titles to honour students who exemplified confidence, discipline, leadership and the core values of the institution. The Mr. Shiv Jyoti Title was awarded to a student Ujjwal who demonstrated remarkable personality, responsibility and dedication, while the Miss Shiv Jyoti Title was bestowed upon a student Rochna who reflected grace, confidence and academic excellence. The titles were conferred by the respected dignitaries amidst loud applause, making the moment a proud and memorable highlight of the event.

The valedictory function concluded on a memorable note, leaving behind cherished memories and inspiring the students to step confidently into a new phase of life.

Havan Yajna Organized for Board Examinees and Birthday Celebration at Shiv Jyoti Public School

Shiv Jyoti Public School organized a Havan Yajna on 6th February 2026 in the school premises to seek divine blessings for the students of Classes X and XII appearing in the upcoming Board Examinations, along with a birthday celebration of students and teachers born in the months of January and February.
The sacred ceremony was conducted under the patronage of Late Dr. D.D. Jyoti and Late Smt. Krishna Jyoti, and with the blessings of Dr. Vidur Jyoti (Chairman, Trust), Dr. Suvikram Jyoti (Chairman-cum-Manager, Managing Committee & General Secretary, Trust) and Dr. Suman Jyoti (Director, Trustee). The event was held under the able guidance of the Worthy Principal, Mrs. Parveen Saili.

The programme commenced with a floral tribute to the idol of Swami Vivekananda Ji, followed by Jyoti Prajwalan & Saraswati Vandana & chanting of Vedic mantras during the Havan Yajna. The ceremony aimed at invoking the Almighty’s blessings, instilling cultural values, and fostering spiritual growth among students. Students from Bal Vatika I, II & III to Classes I–XII, along with teachers, participated with devotion and enthusiasm.
The occasion was graced by the distinguished presence of Aacharya Jaiveer Vaidik ji, Mr. R.R.P. Sharda Ji (Trustee), Prof. Somnath Sharma (Member, Managing Committee),Sh.B.B Jyoti ji(Trustee), Former Principal Mrs. Vibha Sharda Ji (Manager, SDGHS)& Mr.Manish Verma (PTA member).They actively participated in the Havan along with the Worthy Principal, Vice Principal Mrs. Ramandeep, and Additional Vice Principal Mrs. Mamta Arora.

The devotional ambience was enhanced by Mrs. Rekha Joshi and Mr. Aakash, along with their choir group, who rendered Bhajans, Yajya Prarthana and Ram Stuti.

On this auspicious occasion, the students of Classes X and XII were specially blessed and wished success for their Board Examinations. Worthy Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili addressed the gathering, extending her heartfelt blessings and wishing the outgoing students a bright future and a prosperous life ahead.
Acharya Jayveer Vaidik Ji delivered an enlightening address, motivating the students with his inspiring words and guiding them towards moral and spiritual values.

A special highlight of the event was the Flag Exchange Ceremony, wherein the Head Boy and Head Girl handed over the School Flag to the Worthy Principal Mam.Head Boy Keshav Thukral and Head Girl Hisha (Class XII) expressed their gratitude towards the management, Principal, teachers, and administrative staff on behalf of the outgoing batch.
The prize winners, Parth of Class VII and Paavni Arora of Class VIII,Head Boy,Head Girl, Assistant Head Boy & Head Girl, Captains of all four Houses were felicitated and blessed by Swamiji Maharaj and the Worthy Principal, Mrs. Parveen Saili, who congratulated them on their achievement and motivated them to continue their journey of learning with dedication, values, and perseverance.

The programme was gracefully anchored by Mrs. Neenu Singh.

77th Republic Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at Shiv Jyoti Public School.

Shiv Jyoti Public School celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on its premises. The occasion was marked by a solemn flag unfurling ceremony held under the blessings of Dr. Vidur Jyoti (Chairman, Shri Dhrit Ram Jyoti Charitable Trust, Jalandhar), Dr. Suvikram Jyoti (Chairman-cum-Manager, Managing Committee and General Secretary, Trust) and Dr. Suman Jyoti (Director, Trustee), and under the able guidance of the Worthy Principal, Mrs. Parveen Saili.

The Distinguished Guests of the Day, including worthy members of the Managing Committee and Trust—Sh.Sanjay Sabharwal (Member Managing Committee & Trustee)(Addl.Advocate Gen.Pb.),Sh. B.B. Jyoti (Trustee),Prof.Somnath Sharma ,(Member Managing Committee),Dr. Anil Jyoti (Trustee),Mr. Vinod Aggarwal (Member, SJES)—were accorded a warm welcome at Durga Dwar by Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili, Vice Principal Mrs. Ramandeep, Additional Vice Principal Mrs. Mamta Arora and the reception team.

The National Flag was unfurled by the worthy members of the Managing Committee and Trust along with the Principal, Vice Principal and Additional Vice Principal, in the presence of the Physical Education Department team and the school band, filling the atmosphere with patriotic pride.

In her welcome address, Principal Mrs. Parveen Saili expressed heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed guests, parents and students.

The cultural programme showcased the talent and enthusiasm of students.
An energetic aerobics presentation by the Department of Physical Education captivated the audience, followed by a patriotic medley group song that filled hearts with national pride under the guidance of Mrs. Rekha Joshi & Mr.Aakash.

A poem by Khwaish mesmerized one and all under the guidance of Mrs.Harwinder Kaur& Mrs. Parveen Sharma.

Another highlight was “Vande Matram - Digital Leap Self Reliant Keep" presented by students under the guidance of Mrs. Simmi Grover, Mrs. Sonia Sharma, Mrs. Aarti Tandon, Mrs. Neeraj Sehgal, Mrs. Neha Bhatia and Mrs.Meenakshi Sharma from the Department of Social Science.
A graceful dance performance guided by Mrs. Rajni Sharma, enthralled the audience and beautifully depicted India’s rich cultural heritage.

Addressing the gathering, Prof.Somnath Sharma motivated students to remain focused on their goals with consistent hard work and sincere efforts. He blessed the staff and students for their commendable contributions and encouraged students to become self-reliant, nurturing positive thoughts.
The campus resonated with the slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
The event was technically supervised by Mr. Bhupinderjit Singh & Mrs.Shallu Magow under the supervision of Mrs. Bhavna Sabharwal.

Worthy Principal honoured the distinguished Guests by presenting saplings as a token of love and remembrance.

The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Mrs. Neenu Singh along with students Takshdeep Singh, Srishti and Prajval Aggarwal. The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of "Vande Mataram".
