World Environment Day was celebrated at St. Soldier College (Co-Education), Jalandhar under the guidance of college director Dr. Veena Dada.

On this occasion, students planted saplings in the college campus to promote environmental awareness and greenery. NCC cadets also planted trees along the roadside outside the college premises as a part of their commitment to environmental conservation.

All students and faculty members actively participated in the event and expressed their dedication towards protecting the environment and creating a greener future.

The entire staff of St. Soldier College (Co-Education), Jalandhar, organized a Chhabeel (sweet cold water service) for the public. The event began with the recitation of Japji Sahib and an Ardas performed by all staff members, during which prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the soul of Late Mr. Anil Chopra. After the Ardas, Karah Prasad was distributed among the congregation.

This noble initiative was carried out with the permission and support of the College Director, Dr. Veena Dada. Thereafter, a Chhabeel was organized in loving memory of Late Mr. Anil Chopra.

On this occasion, the College MD Mr. Manhar Arora, Director Dr. Veena Dada, and Principal Dr. Manjit Kaur were present and wholeheartedly participated in the seva. MD Sir congratulated the Director, Principal, and the entire staff for this commendable initiative and said that everyone should be blessed with the opportunity to serve humanity, as service is the highest virtue.

Veer Savarkar Jayanti Celebrated at St. Soldier College (Co-Education), Jalandhar

St. Soldier College (Co-Education), Jalandhar, celebrated the birth anniversary of India’s great revolutionary and freedom fighter, vinayak Damodar Savarkar Jayanti, under the aegis of the NSS Department. The programme was organized under the leadership of Director Dr. Veena Dada.

During the event, speakers highlighted that Veer Savarkar was the first revolutionary to describe the Revolt of 1857 as “India’s First War of Independence.” Through his powerful writings and inspiring thoughts, he instilled a spirit of patriotism among the youth of the nation.

The speakers also emphasized that despite his immense contribution to India’s freedom struggle, Veer Savarkar did not receive the recognition in history that he truly deserved. The purpose of organizing this programme was to make the younger generation aware of the sacrifices and contributions of such unsung heroes.

On this occasion, students shared information about Veer Savarkar’s life, struggles, and ideology. They presented various aspects of his personality through posters, speeches, and debates.
